What you get
What’s included in MVP development for startups
Scope to launch
The smallest set of features that tests your idea with real users.
Design
Clickable flows and screens before development starts.
Build
A production-ready web app with sign-up, payments and an admin area.
Analytics
Events and funnels in place so you can see what users do from day one.
Launch
Hosting, domain, email and monitoring set up.
Next version
A plan for version two based on what the first users show you.
Tools we use: Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Stripe, Vercel.
Choosing
Should you start with a web or mobile MVP?
Start with the action your users need to complete. A web app is straightforward to change as you learn, and it does not need an app store review. A mobile MVP is a better fit when the core action depends on the camera, location or frequent notifications. Those needs should shape the platform choice before you commit to a set of screens.
A coded MVP fits when the value depends on custom logic, data or integrations, or when you intend the first version to grow into the product. That choice puts more weight on the underlying build, so define the behaviour the code must support before deciding how much to include.
For a marketplace, you do not need to automate both sides at the start. You could recruit suppliers personally and build the flow for the users whose behaviour you need to understand. We help you decide what the first version must include, build it and plan what comes next.
Market
What might buyers in Bahrain expect?
BenefitPay is the national electronic wallet. If you want it in your checkout, raise that requirement while we agree the scope, so the payment flow and its testing are part of the work from the start. We set up payments for the agreed flow; the methods you need affect what that flow must handle.
Your product might serve an established company testing a new line, a consultant turning a repeated service into software, or a domain expert creating a tool from their know-how. Each needs a clear first workflow: keep a new product separate from the core business, capture a service with client logins and payments, or define how expertise becomes a usable product.
Rules
What does your MVP need to handle in Bahrain?
If your product sends personal data out of the country, the destination must provide sufficient protection or an applicable exception must permit the transfer. We map where the product sends personal data and, where consent is the applicable exception, set up a consent step for that transfer as part of the agreed flow.
A controller must notify the Personal Data Protection Authority of a personal data breach within 72 hours of discovery, unless it would not affect data subjects’ rights. We set up launch monitoring and agree how a potential breach will be identified and passed to your team, so you can assess the notification requirement.
How it runs
How an MVP project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 2h30m ahead, so the shared board gives you a place to review decisions and leave feedback between conversations.
- 01
Discover
Tell us about your business, audience and goals. We agree the smallest feature set that can test the idea with real users, including what you will leave for later.
- 02
Design
We prepare clickable flows and screens before development starts. You review how a user moves through the product and give feedback while the flow is still easy to discuss.
- 03
Build
We develop the agreed web app, including sign-up, payments and an admin area where those are in scope. You review the work against the flow you need users to complete.
- 04
Measure
We put events and funnels in place so you can see what users do after launch. You help decide which actions need to be visible in the product’s early use.
- 05
Plan the next version
We use what the first users show you to make a plan for the next version. You bring the decisions you need that evidence to inform.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
A short set of notes will make the scope discussion more useful.
- Write the problem in one sentence, name who has it and bring evidence that they care, such as interviews or people paying for a workaround.
- Sort your feature ideas into must-have and later. Write a reason beside each must-have that connects it to the core flow.
- List what users do today, including competitors, spreadsheets and manual workarounds, and where those options fall short.
- Name the first people who will try the product and outline how you will reach more once it works.
- Plan to line up those first users while the build is under way, with their agreement to try it and give honest feedback.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and delivery effort?
The scope of the flows and the rules behind them determine the work.
User types
Each type needs its own flow. A marketplace with buyers and suppliers is close to building separate products that share a backend.
Payments
A one-off card payment is simpler to handle than subscriptions, split payouts or held funds, which add rules and testing.
Real-time behaviour
Chat and live updates add work behind the screen, even when the visible interface looks small.
Design polish
Standard components keep the interface work smaller than a custom brand system with animation.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid when building an MVP
Building too much
Extra features delay learning and make it harder to tell what users value. Keep the first release focused on the action you need to observe.
Counting praise as validation
Friends and family can be encouraging without using the product. Watch what people outside that circle do, including whether they return or pay.
Launching without a decision rule
Agree a target before launch and decide what action its result will trigger. Otherwise, almost any result can look encouraging.
Treating the code as disposable
MVP code often becomes the product. Keep it clean and documented, with tests around the core flow.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Bahrain
Page updated 5 November 2026
What does an MVP development company do?
It helps you build the core sequence a user needs to get value and test it with real behaviour. For example, that sequence could run from posting a request through choosing an offer and paying. Some supporting steps, such as matching orders or emailing reports, can stay manual while you test demand.
What do MVP development services include?
They include the product flow and the tools needed to run it. A minimal admin area lets you approve users, correct records and handle refunds without asking a developer. You can leave settings pages, extra roles, discount codes and complex dashboards for later, when users have shown a need for them.
Should I build a prototype before an MVP?
A clickable prototype fits when you need to find out whether people understand and want the idea. It needs no code and is straightforward to change. An MVP takes the test further: real sign-up, real payments and safely stored data let you observe what people actually do.
Should I charge users or offer a free beta?
Charge from the start if your main question is whether people will pay for the product. A free beta can bring in more users, but it gives weaker evidence that the product will sell. Choose the approach that matches the evidence you need for your next product decision.
Who owns the product after it is built?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Ask for access to each as part of your project handover, and keep track of them when you decide how to develop the product further. That ownership remains yours as your plans for the product change.
What should I do after the MVP launches?
Combine product analytics with short user interviews: the numbers show where people stop, while conversations help explain why. Use the success criteria you agreed before launch to decide whether to continue, change direction or stop. As usage grows, address shortcuts, add tests around the core flow and automate manual steps.
