Tools we use: Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Stripe, Vercel.
Choosing
Should you start with a prototype, web app or mobile app?
Start with a clickable prototype when you need to learn whether people understand and want the idea. You can change the screens without writing code. No-code tools such as Bubble, Glide or Softr offer another way to test demand, although custom logic, growing usage and a later move to code make them harder to work with.
A web app is easier to change and does not need a store review. A mobile MVP has a stronger case when the central action needs a camera, location or frequent notifications. The choice starts with what a user must do, not with a list of screens.
For a marketplace, you could recruit suppliers personally while building software for the side whose behaviour you need to test. That leaves some work with you, but gives you a way to learn before building both sides in full. We help you decide what the first version needs, build it and plan what comes next.
Local
What Atlanta businesses need from an MVP
Atlanta’s economy includes logistics, healthcare, media, IT and finance. If you are a first-time founder in one of these fields, a first version gives you a way to test your idea with real users before committing your savings or seeking funding. A doctor or consultant turning specialist knowledge into software may also need help deciding which part of that knowledge belongs in the first product.
The city is also home to global headquarters including The Coca-Cola Company, The Home Depot and Delta Air Lines. For an established business testing a new product line, a separate first version gives the team a way to test without disrupting its core business. A startup preparing to raise funds, meanwhile, needs a working product and real usage data to show investors.
Rules
What a US MVP needs for payments
If charging is part of your first test, the payment flow needs to work in the US. Stripe lists the United States as a country where businesses can sign up to accept payments. We build sign-up and payments into the web app, alongside an admin area where you can approve users, correct records and handle refunds without asking a developer. Agree which actions you need to manage before the payment flow is built.
How it runs
How an MVP project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 10h30m ahead of Eastern time in winter, and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback across that time difference.
- 01
Scope
We agree the smallest set of features that lets real users test your idea. You help identify the result the first product must deliver.
- 02
Design
We make clickable flows and screens before development starts. You review how the central action works while changes are still confined to the design.
- 03
Build
While development runs, you line up people who have agreed to try the product and give honest feedback. That gives you a group to approach when it is ready.
- 04
Launch
We set up hosting, domain, email and monitoring. You can then put the product in front of the people you have recruited.
- 05
Learn
We use analytics alongside short user interviews. The data shows where people stop; conversations help explain why, and inform a plan for the next version.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring a rough view of what must be in the first version and what can wait.
- Write the problem in one sentence, identify who has it and bring evidence that they care, such as interviews, a waitlist or paid workarounds.
- Choose the result that would prove the idea, such as repeat use or paid conversions.
- List what users do today, including spreadsheets, competitors and manual workarounds, and where those options fall short.
- Identify any steps you could handle by hand initially, such as matching orders or emailing reports.
- Note where users might leave the main flow, so events and funnels can show you what happens.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of MVP development?
Every feature added before launch adds work and delays what you can learn from users.
User types
Each type needs its own flows. A marketplace with users on both sides is close to building two products that share a backend.
Integrations and AI
Connections to outside systems add scope. AI features also need prompt design and testing against real examples.
Real-time behaviour
Chat and live updates add work that is easy to miss when counting screens alone.
Design detail
Standard components take less work than a custom brand system with animation.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid when building your MVP
Treating praise as proof
Friends and family may like the idea without needing it. Watch what strangers do, including whether they return or pay.
Assuming the code will be discarded
MVP code often becomes the product. Keep it clean, document it and test the central user flow.
Launching without a decision rule
Agree the target and what you will do when you see the result. Otherwise, almost any response can look encouraging.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Atlanta
Page updated 5 November 2026
What does an MVP development company do?
It helps you focus the first product on the action users need to complete. That also means deciding what to leave out: settings pages, extra roles, multiple languages, native apps, complex dashboards, discount codes and most integrations can wait until users ask for them.
Should I charge users or run a free beta?
Charge from the start if your main question is whether people will pay. A free beta can bring in more users, but it gives weaker evidence about sales. Choose the approach against the question you need answered, then observe what users actually do with the product.
Who owns the product after it is built?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. That gives you control over those parts of the product after the first release. Ask about ownership while agreeing the scope, so you know what you will hold when the work is handed over.
Can we continue working together after launch?
Yes. We provide ongoing support after launch. As usage grows, the work can include repaying shortcuts, adding tests around the main user flow and automating steps you initially handled by hand. Our process also covers design, build and launch, with your feedback included before code starts.
Have you built an AI product?
Yes. We built LocalSiteAI, an AI website generator for local businesses. It is a software-as-a-service product with a dashboard and AI content generation. It is an example of the kind of product work you can discuss with us when considering what belongs in your own first version.
How do I decide what to do after the MVP?
Use the success criteria you agreed before launch to decide whether to continue, change direction or stop. Make that decision against the evidence you have collected, rather than adding features because they were on an early wish list. The criteria give you a basis for choosing the next step.
