Choosing
Should you choose a cross-platform, native or web app?
A cross-platform app suits many products built around accounts, forms, bookings, payments and content. We usually use React Native, sharing a codebase across iOS and Android and adding native modules where a feature needs them. We choose a native build when the app needs deep device features. The choice affects how much platform-specific work the product needs.
Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded app where you want screens to look identical across platforms. Consider who will maintain the code as well as the design you want: a team working on a Flutter app needs to be comfortable with Dart.
A progressive web app is an option for a staff tool and skips store review. It does not appear in app stores unless packaged for them, though, and on an iPhone it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen. Those limits are worth discussing before choosing how people will access the product.
Local
What Udaipur organisations need from an app
Udaipur attracts domestic and foreign visitors. A restaurant serving them alongside repeat local customers could use an app for reordering, loyalty and saved payment details; the checkout needs to be quick, with notifications sent at useful points.
Agriculture and mineral industries contribute to Udaipur’s economy. For a field team recording maintenance or inspection work, the app could collect photos, signatures and location alongside offline forms, then sync job records to the office when a connection returns.
Udaipur’s universities, colleges and schools could need staff to keep app content current and look up user accounts. An admin panel gives them a place to do that without calling a developer for each change.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
For physical goods or services, we set up a checkout that can support UPI, the mobile payment system used for payments to merchants. The checkout has to distinguish those purchases from digital content or subscriptions used inside the app: Apple requires in-app purchase for those digital sales, and Google Play requires its billing system for digital goods and subscriptions, with alternative billing allowed in some regions. We configure the payment flow around what your customers are buying.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely from India, using video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards to keep the work visible to you.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You help us decide what belongs in the agreed scope before design work begins.
- 02
Design
We prepare screens for iOS and Android. You review and refine them with us before any code is written, while changes are still on the screen.
- 03
Prototype
Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback helps expose awkward steps while screens are less costly to change.
- 04
Test
We get test builds onto your phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. You can use the app and give feedback from real use.
- 05
Build and launch
We test the work on devices and browsers, then handle launch setup. Tell us what your team needs to manage after release so we can plan care.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
You will speak directly with the people designing and building your product, so bring the details they need to understand it.
- List the actions users need in the first release, in the order they will take them.
- Note the systems to connect, their APIs and who holds admin access.
- Start developer account registration in your company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
- Plan to keep signing access and code repositories in your business’s name.
- For a new personal Google Play account, prepare for the required closed test before production release.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of an app
The work behind each screen changes the scope as much as the screen itself.
Integrations
A payment gateway, booking system or scanner each needs setup, testing and a plan for failures.
Live features
Tracking or chat needs persistent connections and more backend work than data loaded on request.
Interface
Custom animation, extra languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User content
Posts need moderation features, including reporting, blocking and filters for objectionable material.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Udaipur
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The scope changes with the backend and admin work, the level of offline use, and the notification rules you need. An existing backend with a documented API can reduce the work; allowing offline edits that sync later needs conflict handling as well as screens.
How should I choose an app development company?
Choose a team that can explain its recommendation for your product and the work needed for each platform. Ask how it handles features that need deep device access and how the app will be maintained. Shared code suits many apps; a native build is an option for deeper device features.
What should be included alongside the app screens?
Agree on the accounts, data and admin tools as well as the screens. We can build a shared backend for your app, website and admin tools. If people can create accounts, the build also needs an in-app deletion path; Google Play additionally requires a web link for deletion requests.
Will I own the app and its store accounts?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. That gives your business control of the accounts used for release while we take care of the submission work with you.
What support does an app need after launch?
Plan for bug fixes, operating system updates and new features after release. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out over the air, but native code changes and new permissions still need a store release.
