Mobile app developers for Sacramento businesses
You get a mobile app designed around the tasks your customers or staff need to complete. For your Sacramento business, we design screens for iOS and Android and build the accounts, data and admin tools behind them. MSH Technologies is a web, app and AI studio in India. We work with you to shape the product around your business and its users.

Choosing
Should you choose cross-platform or native development?
Start with what people will do in the app. Cross-platform development suits products built around accounts, forms, lists, maps, bookings, payments or content. React Native shares most code across iOS and Android while using each platform’s own interface components. It is written in JavaScript or TypeScript, so web developers can contribute, and some logic can be shared with a React web app.
Flutter also shares most code across both platforms, but draws its own interface. That gives you a way to make screens look identical across devices and suits a heavily branded design if your team is willing to work in Dart.
Native development fits an app that relies on deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch. The trade-off is separate Swift and Kotlin codebases to build and maintain. We help you make the choice by learning about your business, audience and goals, then agreeing the scope with you.
Local
What Sacramento organisations need from an app
Sacramento’s economy includes manufacturing and technology businesses. For a field team doing maintenance or inspections, the useful screen is often a job form: staff need to add photos, signatures and location details even when there is no signal, then sync the record back to the office. That makes the handover between field work and office records part of the app’s scope.
Healthcare is also a significant local industry. A Sacramento healthcare organisation whose users already return to a web platform could give those users an app that shares the same accounts and data. We build a shared backend for the app, website and admin tools, so the team has a single place to manage that data.
Rules
What a US app project needs to handle
For a state or local government app, the US accessibility rule requires the mobile app to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We design the app screens against that standard and test the app against it as part of the build.
Checkout depends on what you sell. Apple and Google Play require their in-app purchase or billing systems for digital goods and subscriptions, while physical goods and services need another payment route. We set up the relevant checkout; Stripe is available to businesses in the United States.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board. India time is 13h30m ahead of Pacific time in winter and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives us a place to keep decisions and feedback moving across that difference.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You bring the tasks your users need to complete, and we agree the scope together.
- 02
Design
You put a clickable prototype in front of a few customers or staff and bring their feedback to the screen design. Changes at this stage take less work than changes after the screens are built.
- 03
Build
We send test builds to your own phone through TestFlight on iPhone or the internal or closed testing tracks on Google Play. You can give feedback from real use.
- 04
Submit
We handle the listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. If the app has a login, you provide a working demo account and keep the backend live for Apple’s review; the launch plan also needs room for fixes and resubmission.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you already have for the first conversation.
- A short list of first-release tasks, in the order users will complete them.
- The systems the app must connect to, whether each has an API and who holds admin access.
- A privacy policy that matches the data the app collects; Apple requires a link in the listing and inside the app.
- Details of any analytics or advertising SDKs, so the Google Play Data safety answers cover their data collection.
- An idea of what the app will offer beyond your existing website; a website wrapped in an app shell risks rejection.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and scope of app development
The work grows with the flows, systems and screens the app needs.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Screen variations
Custom animation, extra languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User-generated content
You need filtering, reporting, blocking and published contact details to meet Apple’s requirements.
Existing systems
A documented backend API reduces the work; a new backend and admin panel add a substantial build.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Sacramento
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The scope changes with features such as offline editing and targeted notifications. Showing the last loaded data without a signal is less work than syncing offline edits and handling conflicts; notifications also need a sending service, rules and settings. Once we agree the scope, ask us for a quote.
How should I choose an app development company?
Ask how the team builds for both platforms and who controls the store accounts. We use a shared React Native codebase for iOS and Android, with native modules where needed. We also handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts, so you retain those accounts.
What should be included if my app has accounts and notifications?
Plan for account deletion and notification controls as part of the app. Apple requires an in-app way to start deleting an account; Google Play also requires a web deletion-request link. We build push notifications, and permission should be requested when their benefit is clear, such as after an order.
Will I own the app code?
Yes. You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Keep your developer accounts, signing access and code repositories in your business’s name as well. Accounts held in an agency’s or freelancer’s name can make the app difficult to move later.
What happens after the app launches?
We provide ongoing support for bug fixes, operating system updates and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can be sent over the air, while native code changes and new permissions need a store release. Review retention, task drop-off and crash-free rate to see how the app is being used.
