Choosing
Should you choose cross-platform, native or a web app?
For an app built around bookings, forms, payments or content, React Native is a practical place to start. It shares most of the code between iOS and Android, while native modules remain an option when a feature needs them. We use it for most apps and choose native development when deep device features call for it.
React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s interface components. Flutter is another cross-platform option: it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design that should look identical on both platforms. Native development in Swift and Kotlin fits heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features, but leaves you with separate codebases to maintain.
A progressive web app can suit a staff tool if store distribution is not a requirement. It skips store review, but it does not appear in the stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to their Home Screen.
Local
What Nashville businesses need from an app
Nashville’s healthcare and technology businesses may already have customers using a web platform. An app for frequent use can share its accounts and data with that platform, giving people access on their phones without creating a separate customer record. We build a backend that serves the app, website and admin tools.
Record labels on Music Row need a clear way to manage the content an audience sees. An admin panel gives staff a place to edit content and look up accounts, alongside the app people use on their phones.
Universities in the city have staff who may work away from a desk. For field work such as inspections, an app needs forms, photos, signatures and location on each job, with records synced back to the office when signal returns.
Rules
What a US mobile app project has to handle
For a state or local government app, the accessibility requirement changes the screen design and testing work: the app must meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We design the iOS and Android screens with that requirement in scope and test them against it. If you manage a government project, bring the requirement into the screen review, so accessibility is considered before the design moves into development.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board. India is ahead of the mainland United States, and the gap changes with daylight saving time. The shared board keeps decisions and feedback visible between calls.

Discover
Tell us about your business, audience and goals. We agree the scope together before design begins.
- 02
Design
We refine iOS and Android screens with your feedback before writing code. Put the clickable prototype in front of customers or staff and bring their observations back to the review.
- 03
Test
Try development builds on your own phone through TestFlight or a Google Play testing track. Give feedback from using the app, not only from looking at screen designs.
- 04
Prepare for review
If the app has a login, provide a working demo account. The backend must be live at submission, and the launch plan needs room for fixes and resubmission.
- 05
Release
We handle the App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release. Review the listing information with us before it goes in.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the information you have, including:
- A short list of first-release tasks, in the order a user would do them.
- The website, CRM, booking or payment systems involved, their APIs and who holds admin access.
- Your Google Play account type and a plan for closed testing if it is a new personal account.
- A privacy policy that matches the data the app collects; it needs links in the app and store listing.
- Any analytics or advertising SDKs planned for the app, so their data collection is covered in Google Play’s Data safety answers.
Cost & time
What affects app development cost and time
The work grows with the flows, connections and screens you ask us to build.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Integrations
Each payment gateway, booking system or piece of hardware needs setup, testing and failure handling.
Screen variations
Custom animation, additional languages, right-to-left scripts and tablet layouts add design and testing work across screens.
Questions

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The scope changes with offline editing and sync, content moderation, and the rules and settings behind notifications. For example, saving records offline and resolving sync conflicts takes more work than showing previously loaded data. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Which app development company should you choose?
Choose a team that can explain how the app will serve users and work with your existing systems. If customers already use your website frequently, ask how their accounts and data will carry over. Also ask what the app offers beyond a repackaged website, which risks store rejection.
What is included in the app build?
We build the app and its supporting services, including notifications, payments and subscriptions where they are needed. Plan analytics and crash reporting for the first release, too. They show which screens people use, where they leave a task and which devices experience crashes.
Will we own the app and store accounts?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts, so those accounts stay with you. Have the account details ready when the project reaches store preparation and review.
What happens after the app launches?
Ongoing support covers bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out through an over-the-air update; native code changes and new permissions need a store release. Watch returning users and crash-free rates to assess releases.
