App developers for Milwaukee businesses
Get a mobile app for your Milwaukee customers or staff, with accounts and data behind it, push notifications and a release on the app stores. We can connect the screens people use to the tools your team needs to manage the service. From our studio in India, MSH Technologies handles design, development and launch with you.

What you get
What’s included in mobile app development
App design
Screens and flows designed for iOS and Android conventions.
Cross-platform build
One React Native codebase for both platforms, with native modules where needed.
Backend & APIs
Accounts, data, notifications and admin tools behind the app.
Push notifications
Timely, targeted notifications that bring people back.
Payments & subscriptions
In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores.
Store launch
App Store and Google Play listings, submission and release.
Tools we use: React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js.
Choosing
Should you choose a cross-platform, native or web app?
We usually build with React Native. It shares a codebase across iOS and Android, while native modules handle features that need them. React Native uses JavaScript or TypeScript and renders each platform’s own interface components. If you already have a React web app, some logic can be shared, and web developers can contribute to the app.
Native development in Swift and Kotlin fits an app with deep device features, heavy graphics or complex background work. It gives you separate codebases to build and maintain. Flutter is another cross-platform option: it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits highly customised screens if your team is willing to work in Dart.
A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool that does not need a store listing. It skips store review, although it needs packaging to appear in the stores. On an iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after the user adds it to the Home Screen. Your choice should follow the features and distribution your users need.
Local
What Milwaukee organisations need from an app
Milwaukee hosts international headquarters including Fiserv and Rockwell Automation. For a company whose customers already use a web platform frequently, an app can give those customers another way to use their existing accounts and data. Reusing the backend keeps those records in one place.
Milwaukee is also home to Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. For a campus inspection team, an app could give staff forms, photos, signatures and job locations on their phones, then sync the records to the office when a signal returns. The scope needs to distinguish viewing previously loaded information from creating and editing records offline.
Rules
What a US mobile app project has to handle
If you are commissioning an app for a state or local government, the mobile app has to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA under the US accessibility rule. We design the iOS and Android screens against that requirement, including the screens people use to complete their tasks. Bring the requirement into the screen review so it is part of the build scope from the start.
How it runs
How a mobile app project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 10h30m ahead of Eastern time to 13h30m ahead of Pacific time in winter, and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board keeps feedback and decisions visible between calls.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You help us agree which work belongs in the scope.
- 02
Design
We prepare screens for iOS and Android and refine them with your feedback before writing code. You can check the proposed flow before development begins.
- 03
Prototype review
Put the clickable design in front of a few customers or staff. Their feedback gives us a chance to change screens before they are built.
- 04
Build
We create the app and its supporting services. Analytics and crash reporting in the first release show which screens people use, where they give up and which devices crash.
- 05
Launch
We handle store listings, submission and review under your developer accounts. For an app with login, have a working demo account and live backend ready for Apple’s review.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring these details to help define the work.
- List what users must do in the first release, in the order they do it.
- Note the website, CRM, booking, ERP and payment systems involved, plus their APIs and who holds admin access.
- Have a privacy policy that matches the data the app collects; Apple requires a link in the listing and app.
- Plan a closed test before production if you have a new personal Google Play developer account.
- For account creation, plan an in-app deletion path and a web deletion request link.
- List analytics and advertising SDKs so their data collection is covered in Google Play’s Data safety form.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of app development
The amount of design, integration and testing work shapes the scope.
Integrations
Each payment gateway, booking system or device connection needs setup, testing and failure handling.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
User content
Posts or other user-generated material need filtering, reporting, user blocking and published contact details.
Screen design
Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing work across screens.
Payments
Digital purchases and subscriptions need the appropriate store billing setup; physical goods and services follow different billing rules.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the work. A documented existing backend can reduce what needs building, while a new backend and admin panel add substantial work. Notification rules also need planning, including who receives each message, when it is sent and which categories users can switch off.
How do I choose an app development company?
Choose a team that can explain why people will use the app and how they will reach its useful features. Ask how it will avoid a thin wrapper around your website and whether people need to sign in before seeing value. Both decisions affect the experience and Apple’s review.
What is included besides the app screens?
The work can include a backend and an admin panel as well as the app on the phone. The backend holds accounts and data; the admin panel gives staff a place to edit content, look up customers or issue refunds. We can serve the app, website and admin tools from the same backend.
Will I own the app code?
Yes. You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. That gives you control over the assets if you want someone else to maintain or extend the product later. Keep ownership and access arrangements clear when agreeing the project scope and preparing your accounts.
What happens after the app launches?
Ongoing support covers bug fixes, updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new features. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out through over-the-air tools; native code changes and new permissions still need a store release. Review retention, task drop-off and crash-free rate to assess how the app is working.
