Get an app for your Miami customers with screens designed for iOS and Android, accounts and data behind the interface, and push notifications for the moments you choose. We design the screens with your feedback before writing code, so you can review the flows and decide what people need to do in the app before the build begins.

Choosing
Should you build a cross-platform app or a native app?
React Native shares most of the app code across iOS and Android. It suits products built around accounts, bookings, forms, lists, maps, payments or content. You still need screens that feel at home on each platform, but you maintain a shared codebase. Flutter is another cross-platform option; it uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a highly customised design that needs to look the same across platforms.
Native development uses Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android. It fits an app built around deep device features, heavy graphics, complex background work or new platform features at launch. The trade-off is maintaining a separate codebase for each platform. We generally use React Native and go native when the device features call for it.
A progressive web app is another option for a staff tool. It avoids store review, but it will not appear in the app stores unless packaged for them. On iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen.
Local
What Miami organisations need from an app
Miami’s commerce includes shops and restaurants serving repeat customers. An app for that audience needs a quick route to reorder, saved payment details and loyalty features, with notifications timed around a reason to return.
Downtown Miami has international banks and national and international companies. If your organisation already has a web platform that customers use frequently, an app can use the same accounts and data. We build a shared backend for the app, website and staff tools, so those records have a single home.
For delivery teams serving PortMiami, the work is different. Staff need job details, photos, signatures and location in the field, with changes sent to the office when a signal returns.
Rules
What a mobile app project in the United States has to handle
What you sell affects checkout. Apple and Google require their in-app billing systems for digital content and subscriptions used in the app, while physical goods and services need another payment method. We set up in-app purchases or a card gateway to suit the purchase; Stripe is available to businesses in the United States.
For a state or local government app, the accessibility requirement changes the screen design. We design the app screens against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard specified by the ADA Title II rule for those organisations.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We are a studio in India and work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is ahead of Eastern time, with the gap changing for daylight saving, so the shared board gives you a place to leave feedback and follow work between calls.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the main task you want customers or staff to complete.
- 02
Design
Put the clickable prototype in front of customers or staff and bring their feedback back to us. Changing a screen at this stage costs less than changing it after the build.
- 03
Test
We send test builds to your phone through TestFlight or Google Play’s testing tracks. Use the app for the task you discussed and tell us where the flow gets in the way.
- 04
Launch
We prepare the App Store and Google Play listings, submit the app and handle the release. Review the listing content with us before submission.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring the details that help us agree what belongs in the first release.
- List the actions users need to take, in the order they take them.
- Name the website, booking system, CRM or payment provider the app must connect to; note the API and who holds admin access.
- Have a privacy policy that reflects the data the app collects.
- Check the closed-testing requirements if you have a new personal Google Play developer account.
- Decide how users will start account deletion inside the app if they can create an account.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of mobile app development
The scope determines both the work to build the app and the work to test it.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even when they share a backend.
Integrations
A payment gateway, booking system, CRM or scanner needs setup, testing and a plan for failures.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Existing systems
A documented backend API reduces the work. Building a backend and admin panel from scratch adds a substantial part to the project.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with mobile app development
Wrapping a website
An app shell around your existing site risks rejection. Give people a useful app experience beyond the website.
Demanding sign-up too early
Let people see and use relevant features before asking them to create an account, particularly when the app has no significant account-based features.
Adding tracking without updating disclosures
When you add an analytics or advertising SDK, update Google Play’s Data safety answers to cover the data it collects.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Miami
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price: the scope decides the cost. Offline editing with later syncing and conflict handling adds more work than showing previously loaded data. Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts also add design and testing across screens. Once the scope is agreed, ask us for a quote.
Which company should I choose for app development?
Choose a company that can explain what it will measure after release and how it will investigate problems. Ask about analytics and crash reporting in the first release: tools such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry show screen use, drop-off and device crashes. Retention and crash-free rate give you useful signals after launch.
What is included behind the app screens?
An app project often includes a backend and an admin panel as well as the phone app. Staff may need to edit content, look up customers, issue refunds or block abusive accounts. Notifications also need a sending service, rules for recipients and timing, and settings where users can switch off categories.
Who owns the app and its accounts?
You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Keep the code repository and signing access in your business’s name so the app is easier to move later. We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts.
What happens after the app launches?
We provide ongoing support for bug fixes, operating system updates and new features. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level, so maintenance releases need planning. Some JavaScript and content fixes can go out over the air; native code changes and new permissions still need a store release.
What should I prepare for store submission?
If your app has a login, prepare a working demo account and a live backend for Apple’s review. Leave room in the launch plan for a fix and resubmission: incomplete or crashing submissions are rejected. We can handle the listing and submission as part of the store launch work.
