Choosing
Should you build a cross-platform app or go native?
React Native gives you a shared codebase for iOS and Android while using each platform’s own interface components. It is written in JavaScript or TypeScript, so web developers can contribute and some logic can be shared with a React website. That makes it worth considering when you want to cover both platforms without maintaining separate app codebases.
Flutter is another cross-platform option. It uses Dart and draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded app where you want screens to look the same across platforms. Your team needs to be comfortable working in Dart. A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool: it skips store review, though it needs packaging to appear in app stores. On iPhone, it can request notification permission only after someone adds it to the Home Screen.
We usually recommend React Native for an app. When the features you need involve deep device capabilities, we consider a native build instead.

What Hinjewadi businesses need from an app
Hinjewadi’s Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park brings technology and business organisations together. If you manage a web platform there and customers use it frequently, an app can give them access to the same accounts and data they already use on your website. That gives you a starting point for deciding which tasks belong on a phone, without asking customers to establish a separate account.
The park also has offices of over 800 companies. For a startup in Hinjewadi launching a consumer or marketplace product, covering both app stores from a shared codebase is one practical choice. You also need analytics that show whether people return after installing, so your next decisions are informed by use of the product.
Rules
What an app project in India has to handle
UPI supports mobile payments from people to merchants in India. For a merchant checkout that takes UPI, we set up a payment gateway integration and test its handling of failures. The goods or services you sell also affect the checkout: digital content, features and subscriptions used in an app need the applicable store purchase system, while physical goods and services used outside the app need another payment method. We set up in-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores where they apply.

Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You help us decide the scope before design begins, so the work reflects what you want users to do.
- 02
Design
We prepare screens for iOS and Android. You review them and give feedback, and we refine the designs before writing code.
- 03
Build
We develop the agreed product and test on real devices and browsers. You have the agreed scope and designs to refer back to as the work progresses.
- 04
Test
We send builds to your phone through TestFlight on iPhone or the Google Play internal or closed testing tracks. You can try the app in use and share feedback.
- 05
Release
We handle the store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain those accounts for the release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
A little preparation gives us something concrete to discuss.
- List what users must do in the first release, in the order they will do it.
- Start registering company developer accounts with Apple and Google; organisation accounts need a D-U-N-S number for verification.
- For a new personal Google Play account, plan a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for at least 14 days.
- Prepare a privacy policy that matches the data your app collects; Apple requires a link in the listing and app.
- For an app with login, prepare a working demo account and live backend for Apple’s submission review.
Cost & time
What affects app cost and delivery time
The work changes with the features and systems in your scope.
Existing backend
A documented API can reduce work; a new backend and admin panel need to be built alongside the app.
Offline editing
Showing last-loaded data is modest work; creating and editing records offline needs later syncing and conflict handling.
Live features
Tracking, chat and presence need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Screen design
Custom animation, additional languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.
User content
Posts need moderation features, including filtering, reporting, blocking abusive users and publishing contact details.
Questions
Asked by businesses in Hinjewadi
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to hire someone to develop an app?
There is no fixed price. The scope of the backend, the staff admin panel and the notification system all affect the work. For example, staff may need to look up customers and issue refunds, while notifications need sending rules and settings that let users switch off categories they do not want.
Which company should I choose for app development?
Choose a team that agrees the scope with you and lets your business retain its developer accounts, signing access and code. Check what they propose building, too. Apple expects an app to offer more than a repackaged website, so an app shell around your existing site risks rejection.
Can my app share accounts and data with my website?
Yes. We can build one backend that serves your app, website and admin tools. If people can create an account in the app, plan for deletion too: Apple requires an in-app way to start it, and Google Play also requires an in-app deletion path and a web link for deletion requests.
What should I check before releasing the app?
Check when the app asks for notification permission and what its store privacy answers say. Asking after an order gives the permission request a clear context. If you add an analytics or advertising SDK, update Google Play’s Data safety form to cover the data that third-party SDK collects.
What support does the app need after launch?
Plan for bug fixes, operating system updates and new features. Google Play also requires updates to target a recent Android API level. Track where users drop out of the main task and monitor the crash-free rate, so you can see how a release affects continued use and stability.
