Mobile app developers for Cleveland businesses
You get a mobile app built around the tasks your customers or staff need to complete, with accounts, data and admin tools behind it. We handle the App Store and Google Play release too. For your Cleveland business, we start by understanding the scope and work with you on the screens before development begins.

Choosing
Should you build for both platforms or start with a web app?
We usually use React Native for iOS and Android, sharing a codebase and adding native modules where a feature needs them. It is a practical fit for apps built around accounts, forms, bookings, maps, payments or content. Sharing code reduces the amount you need to maintain across platforms, while native modules leave room for platform-specific features. When an app needs deep access to device features, we choose a native build.
Flutter is another cross-platform option. It draws its own interface, which suits a heavily branded design that should look consistent across platforms; your team would also need to be comfortable with Dart. A progressive web app is worth considering for a staff tool: it skips store review, but it will not appear in the stores unless packaged for them. On an iPhone, it can ask to send notifications only after someone adds it to the Home Screen.
Start with the task people need to complete. Apple expects an app to offer more than a repackaged website, so an app shell around your existing site risks rejection and gives customers little reason to install it.
Local
What Cleveland organisations need from an app
Cleveland’s healthcare organisations have a clear use for appointment flows. A clinic app can give patients booking, reminders and payments, while giving staff a view of the day’s schedule.
For Cleveland manufacturers with maintenance or inspection teams, the app needs to work on the job. Offline forms, photos and signatures give staff a way to record work and sync it to the office when signal returns.
A product team at a Cleveland organisation such as Case Western Reserve University might need to test a consumer app across both stores. A shared codebase and analytics showing who returns help the team assess use after release.
Rules
What a United States app project has to handle
For a state or local government app, the US accessibility rule requires mobile apps to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That changes the screen design brief. We set up the app’s screen designs with that standard as a requirement, so accessibility is considered as the screens and flows are developed. Bring the service’s main user tasks to the design discussion; they give the work a practical focus.
How it runs
How an app project runs with us
We work remotely from India over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 10h30m ahead of Eastern time in winter and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives you a place to leave feedback across that difference.

Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the main task you want people to complete.
- 02
Design
We refine the iOS and Android screens with your feedback before coding. Put the clickable prototype in front of customers or staff and tell us where they get stuck.
- 03
Test
You receive builds on your own phone through TestFlight or Google Play testing tracks. Use the app for real tasks and share what needs changing.
- 04
Notifications
We set up a sending service, audience rules and in-app category settings. Agree where the benefit is clear before asking users for notification permission.
- 05
Release
We handle store listings, submission and review under your own developer accounts. You retain control of those accounts.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring a short list of what users must do in the first release, ordered as they would do it.
- Developer accountsStart registering Apple and Google accounts in your company’s name; organisation verification needs a D-U-N-S number.
- Privacy policyPrepare a policy that matches the data the app collects, for the app and its store listing.
- TestersNew personal Google Play accounts need a closed test with opted-in testers before production release.
- Sign-inConsider what people can use before creating an account.
- Demo accessIf the app has a login, plan a working demo account and live backend for Apple’s submission review.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The scope determines how much design, backend work and testing the app needs.
User roles
Customers, drivers and staff each need their own screens and permissions, even with a shared backend.
Live features
Tracking and chat need persistent connections and more backend work than screens that load data on request.
Integrations
A booking system, payment gateway, CRM or scanner adds setup, testing and failure handling.
Screen variants
Custom animation, extra languages and tablet layouts add design and testing across screens.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to develop an app?
There is no fixed price for the work. Offline editing and later syncing add more work than showing previously loaded data, particularly when conflicting edits need handling. User-generated content also adds moderation features, including reporting and blocking. Agreeing which of these belongs in the first release gives a clearer basis for a quote.
How do I choose an app development company?
Choose a team that gives you direct access to the people designing and building the product, and leaves you in control of it. We talk with you directly. Keep your developer accounts, signing access and code in your business’s name; you own your code, content and domain with no lock-in.
Can you add payments and subscriptions?
Yes. We build in-app purchases and subscriptions for both stores. The checkout depends on what you sell: digital content and subscriptions used in the app generally use the stores’ billing systems, while physical goods and services need another payment method. Some regions or storefronts permit alternative options.
Does an app need an account deletion option?
Yes, if it lets people create accounts. Apple requires a way to start deleting an account inside the app; a deactivate option alone is insufficient. Google Play also requires an in-app path to delete the account and associated data, plus a web link where someone can request deletion.
What happens after the app launches?
Plan for maintenance and measurement after release. Google Play requires apps and updates to target a recent Android API level. We can use crash reporting and analytics to see device crashes, screen use and drop-off; retention shows how many people return. Some content and JavaScript fixes can use over-the-air updates, while native changes need a store release.
