Choosing
Should you buy software or build your own?
Start with the process you need to support. An existing product often fits standard work such as accounting, payroll or email. Custom software is worth considering when the way you handle work sets your business apart, or when gaps between several tools leave your team filling in the missing steps by hand.
A low-code platform such as Airtable, Zoho Creator or Retool suits simpler workflows and small teams. Check its limits before you commit: complex rules, per-user licences and the difficulty of moving data out later can affect flexibility. A hybrid is another option. You keep a product that already handles accounting and build the missing workflow around it, connecting the systems through their APIs.
You do not have to replace every workflow at once. Starting with the bottleneck that causes the most trouble reduces the risk of a large change and gives you something useful to assess before expanding. Replacing everything at once suits a system that is failing or being withdrawn. We will tell you if an existing product is a better fit for your needs.

What Kochi businesses need from custom software
Shipbuilding, petroleum refining and information technology are important parts of Kochi's economy. A manufacturer tracking orders, stock and dispatch across spreadsheets needs a shared view of each order and its current status. Live reports can answer practical questions such as what stock is on hand or which jobs are overdue, without staff piecing the answer together from separate files.
Kochi also houses the High Court of Kerala. A legal practice needs case tracking, document storage and time records tied to billing. For that sort of system, the records, their statuses and the links between them need to be agreed early: those choices determine which reports the practice can produce later and should be changed with care.
Rules
What an invoicing system in India has to handle
For supplies within a state, India's GST includes central GST and state or union territory GST; for supplies between states, it uses integrated GST. When your software produces invoices, we set up fields for the applicable components and include the information your finance team needs in reports and exports. Agreeing the invoice details during discovery gives your team a way to check how each supply is recorded and what appears in an export.
How it runs
How a project runs with us
We are a studio in India and work remotely with clients in other cities and countries. We use video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards, so you can discuss the work and keep track of decisions with us.
- 01
Discover
We map your current process with you and agree what belongs in the first version. Bring the tasks that take the most time, along with the rules your staff use to get them done.
- 02
Design
We prepare screens and refine them with your feedback before writing code. Your staff can check that the proposed screens reflect the work they actually do.
- 03
Build
We work in small increments and show you demos. You test each increment with real cases from your business and decide what needs to change before the next.
- 04
Prepare to go live
Data is migrated and checked, and staff are trained. The old and new systems may run side by side until their figures match.
- 05
Launch and care
We handle the domain, email, analytics and search setup where needed, followed by ongoing support. The same team handles design, development and launch.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
These materials help us map the work and agree what the first version should tackle.
- Copies of current spreadsheets, forms, templates and sample records, with notes on the columns people rely on.
- A list of users, including what each person needs to see and do, and what they must not see.
- Admin access, or an admin contact, for the accounting, CRM or email tools that need connecting.
- A named decision maker who can answer questions about the work.
- A staff member who will test the system, give feedback and help colleagues adopt it.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of development
The work involved depends on the process and the systems around it.
Workflows and approvals
The number of workflows, roles and approval steps affects the size of the build more than the number of screens.
Integrations
Each connection adds work; poor documentation or the absence of an API adds more.
Existing data
Messy records and long histories need more cleaning and checking before they move.
Security and compliance
Detailed logs, retention rules or single sign-on add to the scope.
Field access
Offline use or a mobile app alongside the web system adds another front end to build and test.

How do I choose a software company?
Choose a team that examines your process before proposing a build. Ask how it will identify the bottleneck and how your staff will test the proposed system. Copying a spreadsheet screen for screen can carry its existing problems into the new software; fixing the process first gives the build a clearer purpose.
How much does custom software development cost?
There is no fixed price: the scope determines the quote. Connecting existing tools requires agreement on which system holds the master copy of each field. Moving records also involves cleaning duplicates and mapping columns, while leaving permissions until late can create rework. Ask us for a quote once the scope is agreed.
What does custom software development include?
We build the workflows and connections your agreed scope calls for. Those can include links to accounting, CRM, email and WhatsApp, plus logins, permissions and audit trails for different parts of your team. Tell us which tools you already use and what information each role needs to handle.
Who owns the software after it is built?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. Discuss where each will be kept and who in your business will have access to it. Having a named person responsible for those details gives your team a clear point of contact when the software needs attention.
What support is available after launch?
We provide fixes, improvements and new features after launch. To judge what to improve, record a baseline before launch for measures such as time per task, error counts, turnaround and status queries. Compare those measures after your team has settled into the new system.
