Enter the amount you charge to see the net, or enter the net you want and it tells you what to charge. An optional count of payments per month gives you a monthly fee total. How to read the result
A customer pays 5,000 rupees by UPI or a domestic card. The platform fee is 2%, which is 100. GST at 18% on that fee is 18. Razorpay deducts 118 and settles 4,882 to you. The effective rate is 2.36%, which is the number to use when you model margins, not the headline 2%.
On an international card the same 5,000 attracts a 3% fee of 150, plus 27 GST, for 177 deducted and 4,823 settled. That is 3.54% effective.
Run it the other way and ask to receive 5,000 net on a domestic card. The amount to charge is 5,120.85. Razorpay takes 102.42 in fee and 18.43 in GST, and you receive 5,000.00. If you take 200 such payments a month, the fee total is about 24,170 rupees, which is worth knowing before you choose between absorbing the fee and adding it to the price.

Questions
Frequently asked.
What are Razorpay charges per transaction?
On the standard plan, 2% of the amount on domestic cards, UPI, netbanking and wallets, and 3% on international cards. GST at 18% is added to the fee, not to the payment, so the effective deduction is 2.36% domestic and 3.54% international. Rates last checked October 2026.
Why is GST charged on the Razorpay fee?
Razorpay is selling you a service, payment processing, and that service attracts 18% GST like any other. The GST is on the fee only. If you are GST registered you can usually claim it as input tax credit, which brings the real cost back down to the 2% platform fee.
Can I pass Razorpay charges on to the customer?
You can add a convenience fee at checkout, but it should be shown clearly before payment. Use the "I want to receive X" mode to find the amount to charge. For a 5,000 rupee net target, the amount to charge is about 5,120.85 on domestic cards.
