An organization schema markup generator writes the JSON-LD that identifies your company to search engines: name, legal name, logo, website, contact point, address and the social profiles that belong to you. Fill in the fields and the script block on the right updates as you type, leaving out anything you leave blank. Social profile lines that are not valid URLs are reported rather than included, so the markup stays clean.
How to use it
- Choose the type, usually Organization.
- Enter the public name, the legal name if it differs, the website and a logo URL.
- Add an email and phone, pick the contact type and list the languages your team answers in.
- Fill in the registered address and, if you like, the founding year.
- Paste your social profile URLs one per line, then copy the script block into the home page.
How to read the result
The Checks badge is green once a name, URL and logo are present. Leaving the logo empty turns it amber with the hint "Add a logo URL", since the logo is the field Google most visibly uses. The Profiles linked stat counts the valid sameAs entries; three lines pasted with one typo such as "linkedin.com/company/example" without https gives "2" and a warning naming the bad line.
The output contains a ContactPoint with the phone, email, contact type and an availableLanguage list, a PostalAddress block and the sameAs array. A complete example comes to roughly 40 lines. The contactPoint is an array so you can copy the entry and add a second one for sales or support.
Check the result in Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator. Organization has no dedicated rich result for most sites, so a clean validation with no errors is the goal.
For a shop, clinic or office with opening hours, use the local business schema generator. Entity markup across a site is part of our technical SEO service.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Which page should carry Organization schema?
The home page, once. Google reads it as a statement about who runs the site and uses it for the logo and details in a knowledge panel. Repeating it on every page is harmless but pointless. Pages about a physical branch should use LocalBusiness instead, which inherits all the Organization fields.
What does sameAs do?
It lists the other web addresses that represent the same entity: LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, a Wikipedia page or a Crunchbase profile. Google uses these to tie the accounts together and confirm the organization is the one it already knows. Only list profiles you control or that are clearly about you.
Organization or Corporation?
Organization is right for almost everyone. Corporation is a subtype for incorporated companies and adds nothing Google uses. Pick NGO, EducationalOrganization or GovernmentOrganization if those genuinely apply, because they do change how the entity is understood.
