Choosing
Should you choose WordPress, a custom site or a website builder?
Start with who will make updates. WordPress suits a team that regularly edits its own content. A custom Next.js site suits a business that wants fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits, with a developer handling structural changes. A custom site can still include an editor. We recommend an approach after learning how your team works.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that you want to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean rebuilding. An adapted template also suits a simple site and a tight brief, provided the layout is reworked around your actual content.
Make the editing decision before choosing a platform. List the pages you expect to update and who will do it; that gives the platform choice a practical basis and helps avoid handing your team an editor that does not fit its work.
Local
What Sale businesses need from a website
Property and business services are major employment sectors in Sale. If you offer a service, your site needs to make the next step clear: which inbox receives a message, who handles quote requests and what the visitor sees after sending a form. We design the sitemap and page layouts with your feedback, so those decisions are part of the site structure.
Stanley Square is Sale’s main shopping centre. A retail business there needs a mobile page that makes contact straightforward, with a click-to-call or WhatsApp option where that fits how it handles enquiries. Service descriptions and photographs also need an owner: agree who will gather them before the page designs are approved, so the site can be built around real material.
Rules
What a UK website project needs to handle
If your business is a UK limited company, its website must show its registered number, registered office address, place of registration and limited-company status. We set up space for those details in the website footer; you supply the correct information.
Website service providers also need to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. We agree an accessibility target in the brief and use it to guide the design and build. WCAG has A, AA and AAA levels, so name the target your project is working towards before design starts.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
India is 5h30m ahead of the UK, or 4h30m during British Summer Time. We keep work moving remotely by sharing decisions and feedback on the project board, with calls for conversations that need them.
- 01
Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what you want visitors to do. We use those answers to agree the scope and shape the sitemap with you.
- 02
Structure
We prepare wireframes before visual design. Review the content and its order at this stage, when it is easier to settle page priorities without debating colours.
- 03
Build and test
We build in clean code or use a content management system your team can edit, then test the site on real devices and browsers.
- 04
Check before launch
Proofread each page, submit every form and confirm who receives the messages. Review pages on a phone as well as a desktop screen.
- 05
Launch and care
We handle the domain, email, analytics and search setup, followed by ongoing support. Check search settings before launch so an indexing block from development is not left in place.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather these materials so we can discuss the site around your business and its actual content.
- Your services or products, ordered by their importance to the business.
- Your main goal, such as quote requests or job applications, and who handles each enquiry.
- Login details for the domain, hosting, email, analytics and Search Console, or the person who holds them.
- Real photos of your team, premises and finished work.
- Case studies, testimonials and client logos you have permission to show.
- Sites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each choice.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of a website?
The scope determines the design, build and checking work involved.
Page templates
Distinct layouts need separate design and build work; pages sharing a template generally need less.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, multiple languages and CRM connections add design and testing work.
Content readiness
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the scope smaller; writing, photography or translation add work.
Migration
Moving old news, blog posts and downloadable files adds transfer and checking work.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Sale
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The work changes with your choice of platform, how much content needs gathering and whether you need a separate content editor alongside a custom front end. That setup has more moving parts to host and maintain. Agree the scope with us before requesting a quote.
Is web development still worth it?
A website is worth considering when you need a clear place for visitors to understand your services and contact you. Start with the pages your audience needs, instead of copying every page from an old site or a competitor. A shorter site can also be easier for your team to keep current.
Can you use our existing brand?
Yes. We can build on your logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. Bring the actual headings and paragraphs into the design process too: text added after a layout is approved can be longer or shorter than the placeholder and disrupt the page.
Will we own the website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. At handover, we set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, and give your team a walkthrough. Make sure the people responsible for the site know where those accounts are and who will look after them.
What should we do after the website launches?
Choose who will keep news, project and job pages current, and use analytics to see what enquiries the site generates. Track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, then check which pages visitors started from. That gives you a practical way to review the site’s use after launch.
