Choosing
Should you choose WordPress, a custom site or a website builder?
WordPress suits a team that wants to edit a lot of content itself. A custom Next.js site suits a business that wants fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits. It can still have an editor, though you should expect a developer to handle structural changes. Think about who will make updates as well as how you want the site to look.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site you want to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean rebuilding. That trade-off is worth considering before you put substantial content into the platform.
We recommend WordPress or a custom Next.js build after understanding how your team works. Bring a clear view of who will update content and how often; that gives us a practical basis for choosing the editor and deciding which changes should be handled by a developer.
Local
What Kamloops businesses need from a website
Healthcare is part of the Kamloops economy. If you run a clinic or another appointment-based practice, your site needs clear service pages, practitioner profiles and opening hours. A booking or call option should work well on a phone, so someone reading about a service has a clear way to take the next step.
Kamloops also has pulp, plywood and mining operations. If you supply products or services to heavy industry, give prospective buyers capability pages, relevant certifications and downloadable specifications. A quote form should ask for enough detail to make a useful response possible. Agree who owns the page content and the enquiry process when you define the sitemap.
Rules
What a website project in Canada needs to handle
British Columbia has its own private-sector privacy law. We set up enquiry form fields and a privacy page describing how you collect, use and disclose personal information, and agree where form messages go and who receives them.
For commercial email, Canada's anti-spam rules require consent, sender identification and an unsubscribe mechanism. We set up a consent field for sign-ups and include the sender's current mailing address and an unsubscribe option in commercial messages.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We are a studio in India, working with you remotely. British Columbia is 12h30m behind India; video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board give us ways to discuss decisions and keep work visible across that difference.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals. You help us agree the scope before design begins.
- 02
Plan
We make wireframes that set out what goes on each page and in what order. You review the content and priorities before colours enter the discussion.
- 03
Design
We prepare the sitemap and page designs for desktop and mobile. You give feedback, and we refine the designs with you.
- 04
Build
We develop the site in clean code or use a content management system your team can edit. We test it on real devices and browsers.
- 05
Check
You proofread every page, submit each form and confirm who receives its messages before the site goes live.
- 06
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the handover.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
A little preparation helps us focus the brief on your priorities.
- Rank the services or products you want to feature, so the navigation leads with your priorities.
- Name the goalquote requests, calls or job applications, and who handles each enquiry.
- Bring sites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each choice.
- Gather real photos of your team, premises and completed work.
- Collect case studies, testimonials, certifications and client logos you have permission to show.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and schedule?
The work involved depends on what is ready and what needs to move or be maintained.
Existing content
Blog posts, news archives and downloadable files need migration and checking.
Real copy
Designing with placeholder text can mean layouts need reworking when the actual headings and paragraphs arrive.
Search setup
Page titles, heading structure and an XML sitemap take less effort to include during the build than to fix afterwards.
Separate editor
A custom front end paired with a separate editor adds components to host and maintain.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Kamloops
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The main drivers include the number of distinct page templates, features such as booking or a CRM connection, and whether your copy and photos are ready to publish. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
Is website development still worth it?
It is worth considering when you need clear service pages that people can read and your team can keep current. A shorter site can be easier to maintain than a copy of every old page. Review each page on a phone, too, rather than approving the desktop design alone.
Can you work with our existing brand?
Yes. We build on your logo, colours and fonts, and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. A custom design suits a specific brand or audience; an adapted template can suit a simpler brief when it is reworked around your actual content.
Will we own the website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Keep the login details for your domain registrar, hosting, email provider, analytics and Search Console, or record who holds them. That gives your team a clear place to start when access is needed.
What happens after launch?
We offer ongoing support after launch. Your team should also decide who will update news, projects and job posts. In analytics, track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, then check which pages those enquiries started from to see how the site is being used.
