Choosing
Should you choose WordPress, a custom site or a website builder?
WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its plugins offer a wide choice of features, though the site needs regular updates to stay secure. Before choosing it, decide who will make those updates and how often you expect to change content.
A custom Next.js site suits a company that wants fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits. It also suits a team happy to ask a developer to make structural changes. A content editor can still be part of the site, so a custom build does not mean handing every content change to a developer.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that you want to run alone. You trade some control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean rebuilding. We recommend WordPress or Next.js after learning how your team works and what it needs to edit.
Local
What Hesperia organisations need from their websites
Hesperia Unified School District covers most of the city. If you run a professional services firm serving people in that area, give each service and partner a clear page: prospective clients look for expertise and credentials before they call. Decide who will maintain those pages as the people and services you offer change.
Hesperia Lake Park hosts town activities, including Hesperia Day. An organisation involved in those activities needs a clear route from its information pages to a contact option. We plan the page structure and set up contact forms, WhatsApp and click-to-call so visitors have a practical way to get in touch from a phone.
Rules
What a US website project has to handle
For a business open to the public, US guidance says the ADA covers goods and services offered on the web and points to WCAG as helpful guidance. We agree an accessibility target in your brief, using the W3C’s WCAG levels, and design page layouts for desktop and mobile with your feedback. Review the layouts on a phone as well as a large screen, so content and contact options receive attention at both sizes.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 13h30m ahead of Pacific time in winter, and 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives us a place to keep project work visible across that gap.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the outcomes you want the site to support.
- 02
Plan the pages
We prepare wireframes before visual design. Your feedback at this stage helps settle what belongs on each page and its order.
- 03
Build and test
We build in code or with an editable CMS, then test on real devices and browsers. Your team can review the working pages.
- 04
Check before launch
Proofread every page, submit each form once and confirm who receives its messages. This is the point to catch small errors visitors would notice.
- 05
Launch
We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the setup.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
These materials help us understand what the site needs to do and what is ready to use.
- Your goal for the site and who handles each kind of enquiry.
- Vector logo files, brand colours and fonts, or a note that they still need creating.
- Real photos of your team, premises and finished work; book a photo shoot ahead if needed.
- Case studies, testimonials, certifications and client logos you have permission to show.
- Sites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each choice.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The scope determines the design, build and testing work involved.
Page templates
Distinct layouts take more design and build effort than pages that share a template.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, languages and CRM connections add work to design, build and test.
Content
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the scope smaller; adding copywriting, photography or translation makes it bigger.
Brand assets
An existing logo and style guide reduce design effort compared with deciding the logo, colours and typefaces during the project.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Hesperia
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website designed?
There is no fixed price: the scope sets the work. A custom design for specific brand or audience needs takes a different brief from an adapted template, and gathering service descriptions, team bios and photos also affects the work. We can build on your existing logo, colours and fonts, or prepare brand assets for the web.
Is web development still worth paying for?
It is worth considering when the site has a clear job to do, such as generating enquiries. You can track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks in analytics and check which pages visitors started from. Keep service pages clear and manageable, instead of copying every page from an old site or a competitor.
What is included in the website build?
The work covers the sitemap, page structure, visual design, build, content editor, forms, search setup and launch. Each part needs an owner from the start. We also build with clean code in Next.js or use WordPress when your team needs full editing control.
Will I own my website after launch?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Before the project starts, gather the login details for your domain registrar, hosting, email provider, analytics and Search Console, or identify the person who holds them. That gives the project a clear route to the accounts needed for launch.
What support and editing options do I get after launch?
We provide ongoing support after launch, and the site can include an editor your team can use for pages, news, projects and careers without training. Decide who will keep those updates current. Assigning that work helps prevent a news or projects section from looking out of date.
