Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its plugins give you a wide choice of additions, though the site needs regular updates to stay secure. A custom Next.js site suits a business that wants fast pages and a design without template limits, and is happy for a developer to handle structural changes.
There are choices within that decision. An adapted template can fit a simple site with a tight brief, provided it is reworked around your actual content. A custom design gives you room to respond to specific brand or audience needs. A separate editor paired with a custom front end suits heavy editing, but adds components to host and maintain.
Your editing routine is the starting point. We ask how your team works before recommending WordPress or Next.js; a custom site can still have an editor, so choosing it does not mean asking a developer to make every content change.
Local
What Delta organisations need from their websites
Boundary Bay Airport serves private aircraft, commercial charters and flying lessons. A provider offering lessons needs clear service information and a booking or call option that works on a phone. The enquiry route also needs thought: decide who receives each request and what the visitor sees after sending it.
Delta Public Schools operates Anglophone public schools, while the Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique operates a Francophone primary school. For a school organisation, a clear page structure and an editor for news and other page content give staff a way to keep information current. Agree who owns each part of the site, from its content through to launch.
Rules
What a website project in Canada has to handle
If you plan to send commercial electronic messages, consent belongs in the sign-up flow. We set up a consent field and make space for the sender’s identity, current mailing address and unsubscribe mechanism in the message setup.
If you want a .ca domain, the registrant must meet Canadian Presence Requirements. Hold the domain account in your business name and grant access for the build, so the account stays under your control.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 12h30m ahead of British Columbia, so the shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback across the time difference.
- 01
Discovery
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what you want visitors to do. Those answers guide the sitemap.
- 02
Wireframes
We establish what goes on each page and in what order. Review the content and priorities before choosing colours.
- 03
Design
We prepare desktop and mobile page designs and refine them with your feedback. Review both views before the build starts.
- 04
Build
We develop the site or an editable CMS and test it on real devices and browsers. Your team can review the working pages.
- 05
Launch
Proofread every page, submit each form and confirm who receives it. We set up the domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the handover.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Start with the things your site needs to feature.

Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline of website design and development
The work changes as the scope and materials change.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, several languages or a CRM connection add design, build and testing work.
Content migration
Moving blog posts, news archives and downloadable files from an old site adds transfer and checking work.
Content readiness
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the work smaller; copywriting, photography or translation add to the scope.
Brand readiness
An existing logo and style guide need less design effort than a brand whose colours and typefaces are still being decided.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Delta
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The scope depends on how many pages you need, how much existing content needs review and whether real copy is ready for the design. A shorter site can be easier to maintain, while placeholder text can lead to layout changes when the final copy arrives. We agree the scope with you before preparing a quote.
Is web development still worth it?
A website gives you a place to present your services and receive enquiries. Search setup should be part of the build: page titles, descriptions, headings, an XML sitemap and structured data all need attention. Check that an indexing block used during development is removed before launch.
What is included in the website build?
We design and develop the pages, with WordPress or clean code in Next.js according to how your team needs to work. If you already have a brand, we build on your logo, colours and fonts and prepare assets for the web where needed.
Will I own the website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Before the project starts, find the login details for your domain registrar, hosting, email, analytics and Search Console, or identify the person who holds them. That makes it easier to arrange the access needed for the work.
What happens after the website launches?
We provide ongoing support after launch. Agree internally who will update news, projects and job posts, then use analytics to track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions. Checking which pages those enquiries started from gives you a practical way to review the site.
