Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
Choose WordPress if your team expects to edit a lot of content. A custom Next.js site suits a design with specific requirements and offers faster pages and tighter security; it can still include an editor. Structural changes on a custom-coded site are suited to a developer, so consider who will look after those changes before choosing.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site you want to run yourself. The trade-off is less control over code and speed, and moving away can mean rebuilding. For a simple brief, an adapted template is another option, provided the design is reworked around your actual content.
A headless setup gives you a custom front end and a separate editor, which suits a site that needs both speed and frequent editing. It also introduces more components to host and maintain. We recommend WordPress or Next.js after learning how your team works and who needs to make changes.
Local
What Billings businesses need from a website
Healthcare and social assistance is the largest employment sector in Billings. If you run a clinic or another appointment-based practice, your site needs clear service pages, practitioner profiles and opening hours. Put a booking or call option where someone using a phone can find it without searching through the page.
Billings is also a trade and distribution centre. If you supply other businesses, give buyers enough detail to assess your capabilities before they enquire: product information, certifications and downloadable specifications belong alongside a quote form. The form should ask for the information you need to respond properly, while keeping the route to an enquiry clear.
Rules
What a US website project needs to handle
For a business open to the public, US Department of Justice guidance says the ADA covers goods and services offered on the web and identifies WCAG as helpful guidance. We agree an accessibility target in your brief and set up the page designs around the selected WCAG criteria. WCAG has A, AA and AAA levels; its publisher encourages use of the latest version. Agreeing the target early gives you and the design team a shared basis for reviewing the pages.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 10h30m to 13h30m ahead of the mainland US in winter, and the gap changes during daylight saving time. Shared boards keep feedback and decisions visible across that gap.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Billings
Page updated 5 November 2026
Is web development still worth paying for?
It is worth assessing against the enquiries you want the site to handle. Track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions in analytics, then check which pages visitors started from. That gives you a practical way to review the site against the actions you want people to take.
How much does it cost to get a website built?
There is no fixed price. The scope of the pages and features, and the work needed to gather content, drive the cost. For example, team bios and case studies need owners as well as space in the design. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed.
What search setup is included?
We include metadata, structured data and a sitemap in the build, with fast loading as part of each page. Search checks belong before launch: missing page titles, a missing sitemap or an indexing block left over from development can keep a new site out of search results.
Will we own the website and its accounts?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code, with no lock-in. Your business should also hold the domain and hosting accounts in its own name and grant access to the people working on the site. That leaves you in control of those accounts when access needs to change.
What happens after the site launches?
We provide ongoing support after launch. Beforehand, we test the build on real devices and browsers, and you should also decide who will keep news, project and job pages current. An old newest post can leave visitors wondering whether the business is still trading.
