Choosing
What kind of UI UX design do you need?
Start with the decision you need to make. Low-detail wireframes let you review the structure of a page or screen without spending effort on visual polish. A clickable prototype is useful when you need people to try a flow, or when you want to show investors how a product works before code is written.
For a live product, an incremental redesign lets existing users adjust to changes in stages. A full redesign suits a product whose structure no longer fits how people use it, though that means reconsidering the structure across the product. Your choice affects how much of the existing interface you need to revisit.
Think about reuse too. A small component library is often enough for a marketing site or an early product; a full design system suits a product with many screens or several teams. An established UI kit or open-source component library helps an early product move faster, while a custom visual language suits a brand where the interface itself is part of what customers pay for.
Market
What do customers expect from digital products?
A customer using a software product needs to get through onboarding, understand the dashboard and find the settings they need. We shape those screens around the tasks users need to complete, so they can see the product’s value early.
For an online shop, the product page, cart and checkout need to work well on a phone. Fewer steps and form fields give customers less to work through. Staff using an internal tool have a different need: a redesign can remove steps and reduce errors in tasks they repeat throughout the day.
Rules
What must a UI UX project handle in the United Kingdom?
Accessibility needs to be considered in the screen design. Equality and Human Rights Commission guidance on the Equality Act 2010 says organisations providing services through a website must make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. For your build, we design readable text, colour contrast, visible focus states, clear labels and tap targets that are large enough to use. The W3C’s WCAG provides success criteria at levels A, AA and AAA, which give the project a basis for checking those choices.
How it runs
How a UI UX design project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. IST is 5h30m ahead (4h30m during British Summer Time, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October). Shared boards give you a place to review work and leave feedback across that time difference.
- 01
Discover
You share your goals, user types, analytics, support complaints and competing products. We turn what you share into problems for the design to address.
- 02
Map and review
We sketch flows and wireframes step by step. You check them against the way your customers and staff really work, before the visual design is developed.
- 03
Design
We create desktop and mobile screens in your brand, ready for development. You review how the interface looks as well as how its screens are organised.
- 04
Test
We build a clickable prototype for users to try before the product is built. Their feedback gives you a chance to examine the flow while it is still a design.
- 05
Hand over
We provide specifications, assets and support while the design is built. Your developers have material to work from and a way to get questions answered.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you already have about your users, your product and its visual identity.
- User types and tasksList who uses the product and what each group needs to do; mark tasks that bring revenue or prompt support calls.
- Evidence of frictionGather analytics, session recordings, support tickets or sales call notes that show where people get stuck.
- Brand filesBring guidelines, logos, fonts, colours and any existing design files in Figma or another tool.
- Familiar productsNote competing products or common tools your users know, including what works and what annoys them.
- People to testIdentify customers or staff willing to try a prototype and talk through what confuses them.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time of UI UX design?
The scope determines the design effort and how much work there is to review.
Screens and roles
A marketing site has a handful of templates; a dashboard serving several user roles needs more distinct screens.
Research
Interviews, surveys and usability tests add work, while giving you stronger evidence than a desk review alone.
Flow complexity
Onboarding, checkout, multi-step forms and permission settings need more rounds of iteration than content pages.
Design system
Building reusable styles and components from scratch adds work up front and saves effort on screens designed afterwards.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with UI UX design
Polishing screens too early
Agree the flow and structure first. Otherwise, attractive screens can need restructuring when the team discovers that a task does not work.
Designing only the ideal path
Include error and empty states in the design, so developers are not left to improvise when something goes wrong.
Making forms hard to use
Check contrast and tap target sizes, and give fields clear labels instead of using placeholder text as the only label.
Walking away at handover
Keep a designer available for build questions. Without that support, developers have to guess and the finished product can drift from the design.

How much do agencies charge for UI UX design?
There is no fixed price. The work involved in researching user flows, creating reusable components and testing a clickable prototype affects the scope. We agree that scope with you before preparing a quote, so it reflects the work your product needs and the decisions you want to make.
What does a UI UX design agency do?
A UI UX design agency defines how a product works and how its screens look. UX covers task steps, screen structure, labels and error handling; UI covers the appearance of each screen. That includes planning for states such as loading, no results, long names and missing permissions.
Can you work with our own developers?
Yes. Design-only work suits you if you already have developers; design and build with one team suits you if you want a single party responsible for the finished product. Our handover includes specifications, exported assets, named components and interaction notes, with the designer available for build questions.
What do developers receive at handover?
They receive design specifications and assets, with support while they build. The handover gives your developers a reference for turning the agreed screens into a working product, and a route back to the design team when they need clarification during implementation.
How do we decide between competing design ideas?
Test the prototype with real users and use what you learn to make the decision. That gives your team evidence about where people become confused, instead of settling the question through opinion in a meeting. Focus the test on the part of the flow where the ideas differ.
How should we review the design after launch?
Compare task completion, drop-off between steps, support tickets and conversion with the figures from before the change. Ask your support and sales teams what complaints they hear, then use that feedback to plan the next design round. Keep the design files and system updated as the product changes.
