Choosing
Should you fix your current site or rebuild it?
Fixing the current site suits most cases. We look at what your platform and theme let you change before considering a rebuild. If you cannot control page titles, remove heavy scripts or put content in the HTML, a rebuild makes sense because those restrictions get in the way of basic technical fixes. The choice affects how much of the site needs changing.
On WordPress, caching and image plugins address some speed problems quickly. A slow theme, page builder or heavy database queries call for code-level work. On a JavaScript single-page app, we also need to check whether search engines can see the content and links in the initial HTML. Those are different problems, so the work needed to address them will differ too.
Use the right evidence to choose. A Lighthouse test represents a simulated visit and helps find causes; the Core Web Vitals report in Search Console uses real-user field data. Judge progress using the field data, then use lab tests to investigate what is slowing a page down. That gives you a clearer basis for deciding how much work the existing site needs.
Rules
What your site in the United Kingdom has to handle
When your organisation provides services through a website, Equality Act guidance says you must make reasonable adjustments so the site is accessible to disabled people. We set up page designs with those adjustments in mind. The work needs to account for how disabled people use the pages that provide your services, alongside the technical changes made to those pages.
The mobile version also needs the content, links and structured data you want Google to use. Google indexes and ranks that version, so items missing from the mobile layout are treated as absent. We check what appears on mobile as part of the work on your pages.
How it runs
How a technical SEO and site speed project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 5h30m ahead, or 4h30m ahead during British Summer Time, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. The shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback across that difference.
- 01
Audit
We combine a full crawl with Search Console and real-user speed data, then check the findings against the pages that bring you traffic and enquiries. You identify the pages that need particular attention.
- 02
Agree the fixes
You approve a prioritised list before work begins. We group fixes by template, so a change to a product or article template reaches every page using it.
- 03
Build and release
We make and check fixes on a staging copy before releasing them. You check forms, checkout and key pages after each release, so those parts of the site receive your attention too.
- 04
Validate
We submit fixed issues for validation in Search Console and watch them as Google recrawls the affected pages. You can follow the status of the fixes after release.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather these details so we can understand the site and arrange access for the work.
- AccessHave owner access to Search Console, or DNS access for verification, plus access to analytics, the CMS, hosting, CDN and code repository.
- Priority pagesList your main landing pages, product or service pages, and the forms or checkout steps that produce enquiries and sales.
- Change datesNote redesigns, migrations, platform changes and traffic drops so we can match problems to possible causes.
- Release contactsIdentify who deploys code and manages hosting, and how your releases are approved.
- Alert recipientsIdentify the people who will act on Search Console email alerts.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and time needed
The scope of the site and the changes it allows determine how much work is involved.
Templates
A fix to a shared template reaches its pages, while individual layouts need separate work. The number of templates tells us more than the page count alone.
Platform and access
A custom codebase or self-hosted CMS allows deeper changes; a closed website builder limits what we can change.
Rendering
Content built with JavaScript in the browser might need server rendering or pre-rendering added. That is a larger change than tuning a server-rendered site.
Media
Image libraries can need resizing, conversion to modern formats and width and height attributes across pages.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with technical SEO and site speed
Blocking a page to remove it from search
Robots.txt is not a way to keep a page out of Google. Use a noindex rule or password protection for that purpose.
Delaying the main image
Lazy-loading the image at the top of a page delays Largest Contentful Paint. Load that image early and reserve lazy-loading for images further down.
Changing URLs without a map
During a redesign or migration, map each old URL to its new one and use server-side permanent redirects. Rankings can fluctuate while Google recrawls the site.
Expecting self-controlled review stars
Reviews your business controls about itself are ineligible for star results on LocalBusiness and Organization pages.

How much do technical SEO services cost?
There is no fixed price stated for the service. The work involved depends on the site structure, the indexing fixes needed and the structured data required across pages such as products or articles. A site with duplicate URL versions also needs its canonical tags, internal links, sitemaps and redirects considered together.
What indexing work is included?
We set up sitemaps, canonical tags, redirects and robots rules to help the right pages get crawled and indexed. For an online shop, filter and sort options can create large numbers of URLs. Blocking filter URLs in robots.txt or putting filters in URL fragments directs crawling towards useful pages.
Do I own the work after the project?
Yes. You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. That gives you control of those parts of your site after the work. If you already have a marketing team or agency, we can work alongside them; our service focuses on technical SEO and performance, not content marketing or link building.
Will the fixes improve my rankings?
We do not promise search positions. Technical fixes remove things that hold a site back, while rankings also depend on your content and competition. Speed work addresses loading, responsiveness and visual stability, measured through Google's Core Web Vitals. Those are useful areas to improve without treating a particular ranking as an assured result.
Will structured data give my pages rich search results?
Structured data does not force a rich result to appear. Markup must match content that visitors can see, and Google does not promise a rich result. FAQ markup is also not a route to larger FAQ listings: Google no longer shows FAQ rich results in Search and has removed the documentation for them.
What happens after the fixes go live?
We set up Search Console for ongoing visibility into how Google sees your site. Speed and indexing can slip as plugins, scripts, campaigns and content are added, so recheck key templates after each release and before a big launch. That gives your team a way to keep track of changes after the initial work.
