Choosing
Should you choose an audit or ongoing SEO?
A one-off audit and fix project suits you when the technical problems are clear and you have an in-house team ready to carry the work forward. An ongoing engagement fits when you need regular content, local search work and reporting. It asks for continued input from your business, particularly when pages need your knowledge.
Your customers' searches also shape the work. Local SEO fits people seeking a provider nearby; content-led SEO fits buyers who research before making contact. Many service businesses need both, with the effort weighted towards how their customers search. If your platform blocks title edits, structured data or slow-template fixes, a rebuild could take less effort than repeated workarounds.
Paid search is another option for visibility while its budget runs. That visibility stops when the budget ends; SEO builds gradually and keeps working. Search terms from your ad campaigns can also help identify topics to target through organic content.
Local
What Alberta businesses need from search
Alberta's service sector includes healthcare, professional services, retail and tourism. A clinic or repair firm serving nearby customers needs a complete Google Business Profile, genuine reviews and a clear page for each service, so people can see what is available before making contact.
Alberta has about 3000 tech companies, mainly in Calgary and Edmonton. A B2B provider with a long sales process needs pages that answer buyer questions at different stages, plus case studies a prospective customer can share internally.
Alberta's exports include food and industrial products. An exporter can look for relevant mentions on supplier and partner pages, through trade associations or in useful resources; those mentions are more useful than accumulating unrelated directory listings.
How it runs
How an SEO project runs with us
We are a web, app and AI studio in India. We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 11h30m ahead of Alberta, so the shared board gives you a place to review work and leave feedback across the time difference.
- 01
Discover
We learn about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you. Bring the questions you want the work to answer, along with your priorities for the website.
- 02
Record a baseline
Before making changes, we record organic traffic, enquiries, indexed pages and the searches your site already appears for. This gives you a starting point for reviewing progress.
- 03
Review access
Give us read access to Search Console for the audit. Google suggests holding back write access at that stage, so you retain control while the site is reviewed.
- 04
Implement
We work through the agreed changes. You review new and rewritten pages for accuracy, supply photos and examples, and answer the questions that need your business expertise.
- 05
Report
We report monthly on rankings, traffic and enquiries using Search Console and analytics. You can use the report to discuss what has changed and what needs attention next.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather what you have, so we can agree a useful scope.
- List your services in priority order, including those with spare capacity or better margins and those you want fewer enquiries for.
- Note the areas you actually serve and the words customers use when asking for your services.
- Collect project photos, case studies, reviews, credentials, memberships and short biographies that pages could use.
- Write down past providers, bought links, previous domains, redesigns, migrations and any traffic drops you noticed, with dates where available.
- Locate your Search Console, analytics, website admin and DNS access. Keep your business as owner.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and work involved?
The scope depends on the site, the searches you are competing for and the problems that need attention.
Competition
The strength and number of businesses pursuing the same searches shape the content and reputation-building work needed.
Site condition
A large site with duplicate pages, slow templates or indexing errors needs more fixes than a small, clean site.
Service areas and branches
Each adds profile and citation work, and needs a location page with something specific to say.
Past problems
Bought links, thin pages, hacked content or a manual action can require clean-up before growth work starts.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with SEO services
Avoid near-identical town pages that only change the place name and funnel visitors to another page. Give each location page a specific purpose and useful information.
Avoid producing large numbers of AI-generated pages without adding value for readers. Plan pages around information your customers can actually use.
Do not offer gifts or discounts for Google reviews, or ask only happy customers to leave one. Seek genuine reviews without incentives or selective requests.
Keep keywords and taglines out of your Business Profile name. Use the name customers see on your website, invoices and signage.
Questions

What does an SEO company do?
An SEO company improves the pages and local information people use to find your business through search. That work includes titles, headings, internal links and structured data, as well as guides and service pages based on buyer searches. Local work covers your Google Business Profile, citations and pages for the places you serve.
How much does an SEO company cost?
There is no fixed price. The scope depends on the location pages and citations needed, the content to be planned and the reporting you want. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed, so you can review the proposed work before deciding whether to proceed.
Do I need a separate AI search package?
Google says no special markup, AI text files or extra optimisation are needed to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Ask a provider selling a separate package to explain exactly what work it includes and how that differs from the search work already proposed for your site.
What should I review after changes are made?
Review Search Console alongside your enquiry data. Its Performance report shows clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position by query and page. Check for indexing errors, security issues, manual actions and sudden drops in clicks too; these can appear before anyone notices a fall in enquiries.
Can you promise a search ranking?
No. Search changes are gradual and depend on competition, content and the site's history; Google says nobody can promise a top ranking. Judge the work by enquiries and sales from organic search, with traffic and rankings as supporting signs. A report limited to selected keyword rankings leaves out useful context.
Who should own my Google Business Profile?
Your business should own the profile and add the provider as a manager. A manager can edit the profile, but cannot add or remove users or delete it. Keeping ownership with your business gives you control over access while someone else carries out the agreed profile work.
