API integration services in the United Kingdom
Get your systems exchanging the data your staff need, with custom REST or webhook APIs connecting apps, partners and internal tools. For your business in the United Kingdom, we can build the connections and handle design, development and launch with the same team. At MSH Technologies, a studio in India, we work with you to agree what each connection should do and how it fits your existing setup.

Choosing
Should you use a connector, an integration platform or custom code?
Check for a ready-made connector first. An official integration between products may cover the common flow you need without a custom build. Look at what it actually transfers and what your staff need to change: a connector that covers the routine case still needs to fit the way you use each system.
Zapier or Make suits a simple, low-volume flow that your staff want to adjust themselves. Custom code suits higher volumes, complex rules or strict error handling. The choice affects how much control you have over the logic and how much work goes into building it. Start with the flow you need to run, including the cases that need attention when it fails.
With a few systems, direct connections can work well. As more systems are added, a central integration service helps avoid a tangle of individual links. If a system has no API, exports or email are often an option, though those routes need their own handling. We learn your business and goals, then agree the scope with you before design and build begin.
Market
What buyers in the United Kingdom expect
An online shop may need its store, inventory, accounting and courier systems kept in step, so staff do not have to re-key stock, invoice and tracking details. A B2B sales team may need website enquiries to reach its CRM and then move into quotes and invoices in accounting software. We connect the systems involved around those flows.
Finance teams also need payment gateway and bank data matched to invoices. The UK’s Faster Payment System supports real-time payments day and night, so check how your payment provider makes status available before choosing a sync. Software businesses may need a public API and webhooks for customers and partners to build on their product.
Rules
What your integration project has to handle
The UK government has published e-invoicing requirements for VAT-registered businesses and public bodies, with Peppol as the core interoperability framework. If your invoice integration falls within that scope, we map the invoice fields and accounting connection with that framework in mind. The mapping needs to account for differences in identifiers, formats and tax codes, as well as records that exist in only one system. Agreeing those details before the connection is built gives the people responsible for invoices a clear view of what will move between systems.
How it runs
How an API integration project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 5h30m ahead, or 4h30m during British Summer Time, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. The shared board keeps decisions and work visible across that difference.
- 01
Audit
We review each system’s API documentation, plan limits, test environment and access. You help us identify the accounts and vendor details needed to establish what the connection can do.
- 02
Agree the mapping
We document the fields, rules and edge cases. The people who own each system review and sign off the mapping, so the build has an agreed set of instructions.
- 03
Build and test
We work against sandbox accounts and test awkward cases such as refunds, partial shipments and merged customers before touching live data. You help check that those cases reflect how your operation works.
- 04
Go live
A launch often starts with a historical backfill before the live sync is switched on. We watch the monitoring closely at first, and you can check the records your team relies on.
- 05
Work directly
You talk to the people designing and building your product, so questions about the connection can go to the people doing the work.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Start by deciding which system should be the source of truth for each piece of data, such as stock, customer details or payment status.
- List your systems, their plans or editions, and whether API access is included. Some vendors reserve it for higher tiers.
- Arrange admin access or API credentials under a business-owned service account, plus sandbox accounts where available.
- Name the owner of each system and gather vendor support contacts for questions about permissions and limits.
- Decide who receives a failed-sync alert and how quickly someone needs to act.
- Identify who owns keys or OAuth tokens, how they are stored securely and who renews them before expiry.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timing of integrations
The work depends on the systems involved and the way data needs to move between them.
API quality
Clear, modern documentation saves investigation; legacy systems, file drops and missing APIs add work.
Request limits
Long lists arrive in pages and requests must be paced, so the sync needs a way to resume cleanly.
Timing
Webhooks, scheduled batches and data fetched for a screen each need a suitable trigger.
Historical records
A large backfill needs checks that totals match on both sides.
Card handling
A gateway’s hosted payment page or embedded fields keep card data off your servers and reduce PCI DSS obligations.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with API integrations
Conflicting sources
A two-way sync can overwrite good data with stale data. Agree which copy is authoritative before allowing updates in both directions.
Duplicate events
Webhooks can arrive twice or out of order. Log processed event IDs and avoid depending on delivery order.
Silent failures
Missing orders or invoices can go unnoticed when a sync fails without an alert. Make sure a failure reaches someone who can act.
Testing only the happy path
Include blanks, odd characters, duplicates and cancelled orders when checking mappings against real-world data.

Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does an API integration cost?
There is no fixed price for every integration. The main drivers include data volume and the need for real-time handling, along with the complexity of transformations such as tax, unit or currency conversion. Matching records that have no common ID also adds work. We need to agree the scope before those requirements can be assessed.
Should I choose real-time or scheduled sync?
Choose based on when your staff need the data. Webhooks keep systems current, but they need a reachable endpoint and handling for duplicate events. Scheduled batch sync is simpler and suits reports or overnight updates. We can use that distinction to establish which flow needs immediate updates and which can wait.
Which systems can you connect?
We integrate systems with an API, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, QuickBooks, Shopify and WhatsApp. The useful starting point is the specific flow you need between your accounts: for example, which records should reach the other system and what your staff need to see there. That gives the connection a clear purpose.
Can you connect payments and send customer notifications?
Yes. We integrate payment gateways including Stripe, Razorpay and PayPal, and set up WhatsApp Business API, SMS and email notifications. If partners need to work with your API, we also provide clear documentation and test credentials. You can identify which payment events or messages belong in the scope.
Who owns the code after the work is complete?
You own your code, content and domain, with no lock-in. That gives you ownership of the product and its assets after the work is complete. When planning an integration, you can identify the people in your business who will be responsible for the systems it connects.
What support does an integration need after launch?
Monitoring continues after launch. A dashboard can show sync counts and failures, with a named person responsible for acting on alerts. We add logging, retries and alerts so failures are flagged and handled. Periodic checks against vendor change notices are also needed when APIs gain required fields or retire older versions.
