An FAQ schema generator writes the FAQPage structured data that tells search engines which questions a page answers. Type each question and its answer, and the JSON-LD on the right updates with every keystroke, wrapped in the script tag you paste into the page. Pairs with an empty question or answer are skipped so the output is always valid. There is no account, nothing is uploaded and the markup matches the schema.org FAQPage specification.
How to use it
- Enter each question exactly as it appears on the page.
- Enter the answer in plain text. Keep it to a few sentences.
- Add more pairs with "Add question", or remove ones you do not need.
- Optionally add the page URL so the FAQPage entity carries it.
- Copy the script block and paste it into the page HTML.
How to read the result
The Questions stat counts complete pairs. Three questions with three answers gives "3" and a green "Valid FAQPage" badge. If one answer is still empty, the badge turns amber and says "1 incomplete, skipped", which means the output has two questions and the third is left out until you finish it.
The code block starts with a script tag of type application/ld+json, then a JSON object with @type FAQPage and a mainEntity list. Each entry is a Question with a name and an acceptedAnswer. The output is already indented and escaped, so quotes inside answers will not break the page.
Test the pasted page with the Schema Markup Validator. It should report one FAQPage with no errors. Google's Rich Results Test no longer checks FAQ markup, because Google retired the FAQ rich result in 2026. If the questions in the markup do not match the page, edit the page copy or the schema until they agree.
For page types that still get rich results, try the article schema generator or local business schema generator. We add and test structured data as part of our technical SEO service.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Will FAQ schema give me rich results in Google?
No. Google limited FAQ rich results to government and health sites in 2023 and stopped showing them for every site on 7 May 2026. The markup is still valid schema.org, and other search engines and AI tools can read it, but it will not change how your Google result looks. Add it because it is cheap and accurate, not for a visual result.
Where do I paste the script tag?
Anywhere in the HTML of the page that shows those questions, usually in the head or at the end of the body. In WordPress use a header-footer plugin or your SEO plugin's custom schema field. In Next.js render it with a script tag of type application/ld+json inside the page component.
Can I put FAQ schema on every page?
Only on pages where the questions and answers are visible to visitors. Google treats hidden or mismatched FAQ markup as spam and can remove all rich results for the site. One FAQPage block per page, matching the on-page text, is the safe rule.
