Choosing
Should you choose WordPress, custom code or a website builder?
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site you want to run yourself. You trade some control over code and speed for that convenience, and moving away later can mean rebuilding the site. For a simple brief, an adapted template is another option; it still needs reworking around your actual content so pages fit what you want to say.
WordPress suits a team that expects to edit plenty of content. A custom Next.js site suits a business that wants fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits. It can still have an editor, though you should expect a developer to handle structural changes. Your choice affects how much control your team has over everyday updates and larger changes.
Start with the people who will use the site after launch. Consider what they need to change themselves and what they are happy to ask a developer to change. We recommend WordPress or a custom Next.js build after we understand how your team works.
Local
What Thornton organisations need from their websites
Thornton is served by several school districts, including Adams County School District 12 and Mapleton Public Schools. A school organisation planning a website needs an agreed page structure, mobile and desktop designs, and clear ownership of the content. Enquiry handling also needs a decision: which inbox receives each message and what visitors see after submitting a form.
The Rangeview Library District, also known as Anythink Libraries, serves Thornton. A library organisation needs pages its team can keep current, with an editor for the news and other content it publishes. Before design starts, decide who will make those updates and which pages visitors need to reach from the navigation.
Rules
What a US website project needs to handle
For a business open to the public, US Department of Justice guidance says the ADA covers goods and services offered on the web and identifies WCAG as helpful guidance. We agree an accessibility target with you in the brief and set up the page designs around the selected criteria. WCAG has A, AA and AAA levels; choosing a target gives both teams a basis for reviewing the work before launch.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely from India at MSH Technologies, using video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India is 10h30m (Eastern) to 13h30m (Pacific) ahead of the mainland US in winter; the difference is 1 hour less during daylight saving time, except in Arizona. Shared boards keep feedback and decisions visible across the time difference.
- 01
Discover
You explain who buys from you, why they choose you and what visitors should do. We use those answers to shape the sitemap.
- 02
Plan
We prepare wireframes. You review the content and its order before the visual design, leaving colour choices for later.
- 03
Build
We develop the site or an editable CMS and test it on real devices and browsers. Your team can review the working pages.
- 04
Check
You proofread every page, submit each form and confirm who receives the messages. This catches small errors before visitors encounter them.
- 05
Launch and care
We handle domain, email, analytics and search setup, then provide ongoing support. We agree the scope together at discovery and use your feedback on the designs.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring these details so we can discuss the pages and the people responsible for them.
- List your services or products in business priority order.
- Choose a goal, such as quote requests or calls, and name who handles each enquiry.
- Bring websites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each choice.
- Find the domain, hosting, email, analytics and Search Console logins, or identify who holds them.
- Gather real photos of your team, premises and finished work.
- Put case studies, permitted client logos, testimonials and certifications in a folder.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and scope of a website?
The work changes with the structure, features and content you need.
Page templates
Distinct layouts need their own design and build work; pages sharing a template need less work.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins, multiple languages and CRM connections add design, build and testing work.
Content readiness
Copy and photos ready to publish reduce the scope; copywriting, photography or translation add to it.
Migration
Existing blog posts, news archives and downloadable files need moving and checking on the new site.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Thornton
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. Content preparation and the complexity of the setup are major drivers: gathering service descriptions, team bios and photos takes work, while a separate front end and editor add moving parts to host and maintain. We send a free quote once we have agreed the scope with you.
Can you design the site around our existing brand?
Yes. We can work with your existing logo, colours and fonts and prepare brand assets for the web where needed. Bring real headings and paragraphs into the design review: placeholder text can hide layout problems that become visible when your actual content is added.
What search setup is included in the build?
We set up page titles and descriptions, a clear heading structure, an XML sitemap and structured data as part of a search-ready build. We also account for page speed. Before launch, check that an indexing block left on during development is removed; it can keep a new site out of search results.
Will we own the finished website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Your business should also hold the domain and hosting accounts in its own name and grant access to the people working on the site. That keeps control of those accounts with you when you need to change who works on it.
How should we manage the site after launch?
Assign someone to keep news, projects and job posts current, and review enquiries in analytics. You can track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, then check which pages those actions started from. This gives your team useful information when deciding what to update.
