Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
WordPress suits a team that publishes frequently and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its plugins offer a wide choice of features, but someone needs to keep the software updated for security. A custom-coded site in Next.js suits a business that wants a specific design and fast pages, and is comfortable asking a developer to make structural changes.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that you want to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and moving away later can mean rebuilding the site. Think about who will make changes and how often before settling on a platform.
The choice comes down to your working habits as well as the design. A custom Next.js site can still have an editor, while WordPress offers broader editing control. We ask how your team works and recommend an option from there, so you know what you will be able to change after handover.
Local
What Plano organisations need from their websites
Plano is home to headquarters including Frito-Lay, JCPenney, Pizza Hut and Toyota Motor North America. A supplier presenting its capabilities to a business audience needs product or capability pages, certifications and downloadable specifications. Its quote form should ask for enough detail to let the recipient respond properly.
Plano also has public and private schools and Collin College campuses. For an education organisation, a clear sitemap helps visitors find the right pages without having to work through an inherited collection of links. Its enquiry handling needs a decision about where messages go, who receives them and what the visitor sees after submitting a form.
Rules
Accessibility in a United States website project
US guidance says the ADA covers goods and services that businesses open to the public offer on the web, and identifies WCAG as helpful guidance. That affects the brief. We agree an accessibility target at the outset and set up the desktop and mobile page designs with that target in mind. WCAG groups its criteria into levels, so the target gives the design work a defined reference.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. In winter, India is 10h30m to 13h30m ahead of the mainland US; the gap is 1 hour less during daylight saving time. The shared board gives you a place to leave feedback for us across that gap.

Discover
Tell us who buys from you, why they choose you and what you want visitors to do. Those answers shape the page plan.
- 02
Design
We prepare the sitemap, wireframes and page designs for desktop and mobile. You review them and give feedback before the designs are refined.
- 03
Build
We develop the site in code or with an editable CMS, then test it on real devices and browsers. Review each page on a phone as well as a large screen.
- 04
Check
Proofread every page, submit each form and confirm who receives its messages. This catches small errors that visitors could see.
- 05
Launch
We set up your domain, email, analytics and Search Console, then walk your team through the handover.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Gather these materials so the page plan reflects your actual business.
- Your logo in SVG, AI or EPS, plus brand colours and fonts, or a note that these need creating.
- A ranked list of the services or products you want to feature.
- Sites you like and dislike, with a line explaining each choice.
- Login details for your domain, hosting, email and search tools, or the name of the person who holds them.
- Real photos of your team, premises and finished work.
- A folder of case studies, permitted client logos, testimonials, certifications and memberships.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and timeline
The work grows or shrinks with the choices and materials in your brief.
Design approach
A custom design suits specific brand or audience needs; an adapted template suits a simpler brief but still needs reworking around real content.
Content readiness
Copy and photos ready to publish keep the work smaller; adding copywriting, photography or translation expands it.
Migration
Blog posts, news archives and downloadable files from an old site add transfer and checking work.
Editing setup
A separate content editor paired with a custom front end suits heavy editing, but adds moving parts to host and maintain.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Plano
Page updated 5 November 2026
Is a website still worth investing in?
A website gives you a place to explain your services and receive enquiries. Measure it by tracking form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks in analytics, then check which pages those enquiries started from. A shorter set of clear service pages is also easier for visitors to scan and for your team to keep current.
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The distinct page templates you need affect design and build effort, while features such as booking, member logins or a CRM connection add work and testing. We agree the scope with you before discussing a quote, so it reflects the site you actually need.
Can my team edit the website?
Yes. We provide an editor for pages, news, projects and careers that your team can use without training. Before choosing the editing setup, decide who will own those updates after launch, particularly for job posts and news that can make the site look out of date if left unattended.
Will I own the finished website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. That gives you control over the assets you need to manage the site after handover. If you already have a brand, we can build on your existing logo, colours and fonts and prepare those assets for the web where needed.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Our launch and care stage is followed by ongoing support. The build also includes search preparation: we set up page titles, descriptions, a clear heading structure, an XML sitemap and structured data. Getting these into the build takes less effort than leaving them for later fixes.
