Choosing
Should you choose WordPress or a custom website?
WordPress suits a team that publishes often and wants to edit most of the site itself. Its plugins offer a wide choice of features, but someone needs to keep WordPress and its plugins updated. Decide who will own that job before choosing it.
A custom Next.js site suits you if you want fast pages, tight security and a design without template limits. You will generally need a developer for structural changes. A headless setup adds a separate content editor to a custom front end, giving an active publishing team more editing scope while adding components to host and maintain.
A hosted builder such as Wix, Squarespace or Webflow suits a small site that an owner wants to run alone. You give up some control over code and speed, and a later move away can mean rebuilding. We recommend WordPress or a custom site after learning how your team works and who will make updates.

What League City organisations need from their websites
Waterside resorts and marina venues in League City need visitors to find the right contact route without hunting through the site. We plan where quote requests go, who receives them and what the confirmation says. On mobile, WhatsApp or click-to-call gives a visitor a direct way to get in touch.
The College of the Mainland serves parts of League City in Galveston County. An organisation serving prospective students needs a clear page structure, mobile-friendly design and an enquiry route that reaches the right inbox. Agreeing who owns the sitemap, content and forms at the start helps the people involved keep that work moving.
Rules
What a United States website needs to handle
For a business open to the public, US guidance says the ADA covers goods and services offered on the web, and points to WCAG as helpful guidance. We agree an accessibility target in the brief, set up a clear heading structure and review page designs on a phone. The target gives your team a basis for discussing accessibility during the build; the W3C encourages using the latest WCAG version.
How it runs
How a website project runs with us
We work remotely through video calls, WhatsApp and a shared project board. India is 10h30m to 13h30m ahead of the mainland US in winter; the difference is 1 hour less during daylight saving time in places that observe it. The shared board keeps feedback and decisions available across the working day.

Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
Bring what you have, and identify who holds the rest.
- Rank the services or products you want the site to feature.
- Choose a goal, such as quote requests, and name who handles each enquiry.
- Collect real photos of your team, premises and finished work.
- Gather case studies, permitted client logos, testimonials and certifications.
- List sites you like and dislike, with a short reason for each choice.
- Find the domain, hosting, email and analytics logins, or their account holder.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and work involved
The scope determines how much design, build and testing work is needed.
Page templates
Distinct layouts take more design and build work than pages sharing a template.
Features
Booking, calculators, member logins and CRM connections add build and testing work.
Content
Ready-to-publish copy and photos keep the scope smaller than adding writing, photography or translation.
Brand
An existing logo and style guide reduce design decisions compared with starting those assets from scratch.

Questions
Asked by businesses in League City
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to have a website built?
There is no fixed price. The work depends on the page designs you need, the development approach and how much preparation your brand assets require for the web. We send a free quote once the scope is agreed, so you can see what is included before deciding how to proceed.
Can a custom site still have a content editor?
Yes. A custom Next.js site can include an editor for your team. WordPress is suited to teams that make frequent content changes themselves, while a custom site offers greater speed and security. We recommend an approach after understanding how your team works and what it needs to edit.
What should be included in the website work?
The work should include an editor your team can use for pages, news, projects and careers. Give the design team real headings and paragraphs early: placeholder copy can leave layouts that no longer fit when the finished content arrives. You do not need to copy every page from an old site.
Will I own my website?
Yes. You own the domain, content and code. Keep the domain and hosting accounts in your business’s name and grant access to the people working on the site. That way, your business holds the accounts it needs and does not have to ask an agency for its own site back.
What should we manage after launch?
Decide who will update news, projects and job posts, and check how visitors make enquiries. In analytics, track form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions, then review which pages those enquiries started from. An agreed owner for updates also helps keep dated posts from making the site look inactive.
