Choosing
Should you hire a dedicated team or choose another option?
Choose a fixed-scope project when you have a defined build and a clear end point. A dedicated team fits ongoing work where priorities change: you keep a development team focused on the product as new needs enter the backlog. In-house hiring gives you direct control over who joins and keeps knowledge inside your company, while a dedicated team avoids a recruitment process and gives you more flexibility to change capacity.
Look at the shape of your backlog. Full-time capacity suits a product with a full, ongoing list of work. Part-time or hour-based capacity suits maintenance and smaller, irregular tasks, where a full-time commitment could leave capacity unused. Be clear about the work you expect the team to take on before choosing a plan.
Your existing technical leadership also affects the choice. We can plan sprints against your priorities, or work within your process under your engineering lead. The latter asks more of that lead's time. We start by learning about your business, audience and goals, then agree the scope with you so the working arrangement fits the work you need done.
Rules
What your dedicated team project in Germany has to handle
If your product uses cookies or other device storage that is not strictly necessary for a service the user explicitly requests, § 25 TDDDG requires informed consent. That affects what runs when a page opens. We set up a consent banner and arrange the relevant device storage so it waits for the user's choice.
Access to personal data from India needs planning: India does not have an EU adequacy decision, and relevant transfers need appropriate safeguards. We set up the processor contract and standard data protection clauses for the work, and agree any further processors with you for prior approval. Include these access and contract decisions in the project scope before the team handles personal data.
How it runs
How a dedicated development team project runs with us
We work remotely over video calls, WhatsApp and shared project boards. India time is 4h30m ahead of Germany, or 3h30m during Central European Summer Time, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. We agree an overlap window for calls and quick questions; written tickets, end-of-day updates and handover notes keep work moving outside it.
- 01
Plan the work
You control the priorities in a shared backlog. We review the list with you regularly, so the team has an agreed order of work and you can see what is coming next.
- 02
Design and build
We learn about your audience and goals, refine desktop and mobile designs with your feedback before coding, then build and test on real devices and browsers. You review the designs before development starts.
- 03
Review progress
We give you regular updates and demos. You see the work as it develops and can speak directly to the team about what needs attention.
- 04
Keep in touch
Use Slack, WhatsApp or email for day-to-day communication, with regular calls for discussion. You work directly with the people doing the work.
- 05
Adjust the plan
At agreed intervals, we review what shipped, what slipped and the capacity needed for the next period. You can use that review to decide what should take priority.
Checklist
What to have ready before we talk
A few working details will help us understand the product and begin with your priorities.
- Your backlogBring a rough ranked list of features, bugs and improvements, with the reason behind each item.
- Individual accessPrepare accounts under your organisation for repositories, hosting, staging and other services the work needs.
- A product ownerName someone who can answer questions and make decisions without holding up the work.
- A definition of doneAgree review and test expectations, supported browsers and devices, and who approves releases.
- Handover materialKeep documentation, deployment steps and access lists current so the work can move to another team when needed.
Cost & time
What affects the cost and work involved
The commitment and the condition of your product shape how much work the team needs to take on.
Capacity
Full-time and part-time commitments cover different amounts of work. A workload that changes from month to month also affects how you plan the team's capacity.
Experience
Complex architecture, older systems or sensitive data call for more experienced people, which affects the mix of skills needed on your product.
Existing code
Missing tests, outdated dependencies and thin documentation slow changes. The team needs to account for that condition when planning work.
Working overlap
The amount of overlap you need with your working hours, and the meetings you ask the team to attend, affect the capacity available for development.
Avoid
Mistakes to avoid with a dedicated team
Leaving decisions unowned
Without someone to set priorities and answer questions, the team has to wait or guess. Name a decision maker who can keep the work moving.
Treating the team as a ticket queue
Share the user needs and goals behind the work. That context helps the team suggest solutions and spot problems earlier.
Sharing logins
Avoid pasting passwords into chat. Give each person an account and keep credentials in a password manager, so access can be checked and removed cleanly.
Switching priorities daily
Agree a planning rhythm and reserve interruptions for real emergencies. Frequent changes otherwise consume capacity that could go towards the agreed work.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Germany
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to hire dedicated developers?
There is no fixed price for every scope. Capacity, the maintenance work needed and the review and testing expected all affect the work involved. For example, dependency updates and security patches need capacity alongside feature work, while code reviews, tests and documentation are part of keeping the product maintainable.
How do I hire a dedicated development team?
Start with the work you need to continue after the initial build. A dedicated team can suit an established business improving a website, app or internal tool without a permanent in-house team. It can also suit work that comes in bursts, where the capacity needed around launches differs from quieter periods.
Can your developers work with our existing team?
Yes. We fit into your repositories, tools and review process. That gives an in-house lead developer extra hands without asking your existing team to move its work elsewhere. The same arrangement can help an agency whose design and development workload has grown beyond what its staff can deliver.
What does a dedicated development team handle?
We handle features, fixes and improvements across websites and apps, as well as new pages, interface updates and design system work. The service also includes code reviews, tests and documentation. That gives your team a way to keep changing the product while maintaining a record of the work.
Who owns the code and other project assets?
You own your domain, content and code, with no lock-in. We also provide an NDA and hand code ownership to you. That gives you control of the assets you need if you later decide to change how the product is developed or who works on it.
Can we change the plan after launch?
Yes. You can scale the plan up or down, or pause it as your needs change. To decide what capacity you need, look at the work shipped and bugs fixed alongside release frequency, incidents and how long work waits for review or approval. Those measures give you a view of how the work is moving.
