Skills
What a good React developer brings
A developer should explain how an interface behaves and how they will keep it workable as features change. Look for these habits in their code and discussions.
- State decisionsThey choose where data belongs, from local component state to shared state, and keep server data separate with caching and loading states.
- Performance checksThey measure slow screens with React DevTools Profiler, then split components, memoise where useful or virtualise long lists.
- Useful testsThey use React Testing Library to check what a person can see and do, such as filling in a form.
- Accessible controlsThey label fields, provide visible focus and support keyboard use in menus and dialogs, using native HTML where it fits.
- Typed dataThey use TypeScript for props, API responses and events, so incorrect data shapes show up in the editor.
Use cases
What you can hire React developers for
React fits products with interactive screens, shared state and features that will keep growing. For example, a team can rebuild an older interface screen by screen while keeping the existing site running. A React framework such as Next.js also supports marketing sites and online stores where server rendering helps with search visibility and fast first loads.
Check the fit before choosing it. A mostly static brochure site or blog might be simpler to run with a CMS theme, site builder or plain HTML. If your team already uses Vue, Angular or Svelte, adding React for a single feature brings another technology to learn and maintain.
How hiring works
How hiring works with us
You direct the priorities. We offer full-time, part-time or monthly hour-based arrangements, with a lead who reviews code and keeps the work on track.
- 01
Agree the work
We review the capacity you need and fit into your existing repositories, tools and review process if you already have developers.
- 02
Set up access
Developers work in your repository, tickets and stand-ups, with an overlap window agreed up front so your team knows when to reach them.
- 03
Walk through the product
Share the architecture, coding standards, branching and release process, plus the steps for running the project locally. Record any gaps.
- 04
Start with real work
The onboarding plan covers environment setup, a product and codebase walkthrough, and a small task touching the main parts of the system.
- 05
Review early
Code reviews during the first weeks establish standards and catch misunderstandings while they are still cheap to fix.
Time zones
Working hours between Germany and India
IST is 4h30m ahead, or 3h30m ahead during Central European Summer Time, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. Agree a fixed overlap window for stand-ups and quick questions, and keep it free of other meetings on both sides.
Keep the rest in writing. Tickets with acceptance criteria, screenshots and links reduce back-and-forth across time zones. An end-of-day update covering progress, blockers and next steps gives you something useful to pick up when your working day starts.
Rules
What a React project in Germany has to handle
For cookies or other device storage that are not strictly necessary for a service the user explicitly requests, informed consent is required. We set up a consent banner and keep those storage requests off until the user agrees.
If the work involves transferring personal data to India, the contract needs appropriate safeguards: India does not have an EU adequacy decision, and standard data protection clauses are an available safeguard. We set up individual accounts with the least access needed, starting with staging and adding production access once the review process is in place.
Vetting
How to judge a React developer before you commit
- Ask where a new piece of data should live. Look for an explanation of the trade-offs, not a habit of putting everything in a global store.
- Set a small paid taska searchable list loaded from an API, with loading, empty and error states. Review how each state is handled.
- Ask a developer you trust to inspect a code sample for component size, naming, tests and logic copied across files.
- Press Tab through a form or menu they built. Check that focus stays visible and every control can be reached without a mouse.
Checklist
What to have ready before developers start
A little preparation gives the developer real work to start and a clear route to approval.
- Rank the backlog or write a first set of tasks with enough detail to begin.
- Name the person who will answer questions and agree the working hours and overlap you need.
- Define donerecord your review rules, expected tests, deployment steps and approval process.
- List the libraries your team already uses for forms, validation, server data and shared state.
- Share your styling approach, including any component kit, so new work fits the team's habits.
Cost & time
What affects the cost of hiring React developers
The plan is shaped by the experience, coverage and management your work needs.
Seniority
Experienced developers cost more and need less supervision; junior developers suit defined tasks with close review.
Commitment
Full-time, part-time and hour-based arrangements differ, as does the notice needed to change the commitment.
Overlap
The amount of your working day a developer must cover shapes availability and how the plan is arranged.
Management
The work involved differs when a lead plans tasks and reviews code or when you manage the developer directly.

Questions
Asked by businesses in Germany
Page updated 5 November 2026
How much does it cost to hire a React developer?
There is no fixed price. The skills and seniority your work needs, including experience with a legacy system, shape the plan. Scope also depends on the choices around routing, data fetching, back end and hosting, since React covers the interface itself.
How can I hire dedicated remote developers?
Start with a shared backlog that you control, then review priorities with the team regularly. We provide progress updates and demos with direct access to the people doing the work. Look at merged pull requests and shipped features as well as demos when judging progress.
Should I choose a full-time or part-time developer?
Choose full time for a full, ongoing backlog on a product. Part-time or hour-based work suits maintenance, a side project or work that arrives in bursts. You can scale the plan up or down, or pause it as your needs change.
What work is included in the arrangement?
The service covers ongoing features, fixes and improvements across your website and apps, as well as design support for new pages, interface updates and design systems. Reviews, tests and documentation are part of the work, giving your team material to maintain and build on.
Who owns the code and accounts?
You own the code. We provide an NDA and hand code ownership to you. Keep repositories, cloud accounts and third-party services under your organisation, and confirm the assignment of intellectual property in the contract so ownership is recorded alongside the work.
Can you support the product after launch?
Yes. Launch and ongoing support are part of our process. Launch work covers domain, email, analytics and search setup; after that, support continues. For a new product, we also agree the scope with you and refine desktop and mobile designs with your feedback before coding.
